Rolled plate: Generate Detail Drawing with expanded/ unwinding flat development plate

I have some rolled plates (flat bar, rolling with a radius).

Anybody please hepl me to generate Detail Drawing completed with expanded/ unwinding flat development plate.

Hi,

You have modeled those objects as cruved beams. That means you will get Curved beam drawings. While it is possible to get a drawing of a staightened curved beam that woud require a fair bit of effort cretign a new drwing style.

If you want flat patterns you should model the objects as Folded Beam or Folded PLate not curved beam. Folced PLAte will be faceted flat sections so you might be best off using Folded Beam. Draw the curve and a line perpendicular to that for the system line. Then create the Folded Beam from the curve usign hte ends of your cosntruction line as the system line.

The resulting Folded Beam will automaitcally produce a flat pattern drawing and will have only one fold line on it. You will need to dimension the radius manually.

So what would be the other method that would take a while?

The only issue I have with this methods is if you use a folded plate depending on the amount of faces your stretch out changes. If I an to roll a piece in a roll what method should I use so flat blanks are correct size?

The other method is to set up a drawing style where the main part beam presentation is set to "Visible unwinded" and that draws the curved beam straight.
