Now would be as good of a time as any to have this implemented...
This happens way too often. I put together a project, and then I create the elevations/plans. I don't have details of the parts yet because the field erection drawings [read: GA drawings] need to be approved. However, our fab shop wants to get a list of material together for ordering, which means I have to run numbering and give them a Material Summary List. Then when I update the erection drawings, it turns into one of those Magic Eye puzzles with the brilliant display of new labels thrown everywhere.
Yeah, I could turn off the automatic labeling, but if I do that now I'll have to completely redetail the entire drawing with a new Dimension Style. Having so many DStyles gets tiring and confusing, and if you realize you're using the incorrect one you'll just have to grin & bear it.
This one is a bit of an extreme example because we're using bent plate clips for connecting light gage framing, so there are hundreds of these plates (sidenote: it's also a BLAST running at 2FPS with the 3,000 screws I've had to insert as special parts). I've already spent the time to tailor the labels manually, so selecting only the labels via Select Similar is out of the question.
Carpal tunnel, here I come! Unless someone knows a way out of this?
