Purlins needing not to be cut in a two short bays building. How can I make a continuous set of purlins because I can get longer sections needing not to be cut.

How can I make a continuous set of purlins because I can get longer sections needing not to be cut. The building m doing is two bays of 6m each and I can get sections long enough but Advance Steel makes purlins that are cut at the center rafter. There are three rafters. I need a continuous purlin longitudinally. Help please.

Hi,

if you have already modelled them the you can use the merge beams command from the ribbon, select the two segments and merge, you have to remove the purlin macro for this.

if creating from new, just select each gable end frame of the portal, the beams will span between those bays.
