Hey everyone,

 I work on AS2018 callout views modification, but there is some problem.

 At first Output->Document manager->Drawing Style Maganer->Drawing styles->ADVANCE->3 - GA Plan/Elevation/Deatil, deep copy of 3.5 - Detail connection - pickbox to USER2.

 In this order I am trying to copy advance base settings to user2 and modifying them, but when I am trying to reuse Detail connection pickbox as USER2, Create callout view->(S)ettings->View->( Choose copied to User tree - 3.5 - Detail connection - pickbox )->sellect Assembly view->make detail window, AS2018  give me this message : E.g. main part cuts are not valid for overviews.

Can you tell me how I can copy ADVANCE settings and easy to modify and use themDeep copy of default pickbox settings to user2Deep copy of default pickbox settings to user2Program message after chosing of assembly and pickbox areaProgram message after chosing of assembly and pickbox area(S)ettings of Create Callout View(S)ettings of Create Callout View

Below i post an image of a callout view detail. The red mark shows the beam clipping line, the blue mark shows the automatic callout view clipping line:

I don´t want to see the callout view clipping line, yet it´s disabled in the Drawing Style Manager:

¿Can someone help me notice where is the problem?.

Thanks.

HI,

Both the indicated line in your view are view boundaries not clipping lines. The red ones are where the part goes outside the view not where it has been shortened.

If you want nothing here then you have to set the Default clipping type to No Line Clipping. This means you will get nothing across the middle of a view when it is clipped either Smiley Sad. Alternatively set your clipping type to Normal Clipping and you can choose a different line type for the edge of the view (Clip Line Type) and the middle of the view (Line Type (Clipping) ). If you have the default clipping set to custom you will get what you have.

The clipping properties in the Detail Properties dialog only apply to the clipping in the middle of a view.

Check out my blog here for more info. Clipping blog.
