.nc, .nc1, and .nc2. Is there a difference

I see different software ask nc, nc1 or nc2 files. As far as I can tell the extension doesn't matter at all. It's basically a text file using dstv formatting. Is there a difference or am I missing something?

Hi @Julio_Soto ,

from my point of view, it's different file extension only.

Eg. for some CNC simulation SW is:

.nc or .nc1 = main program

.nc2 = sub program (created automatically)

I'm 20 pages deep into my search and I haven't seen anyone discuss the differences of the files.

for *.nc and *.nc1 there's no difference (from my point of knowledge and research) but I could not sy anything to *.nc2
