Multiple issues

Hi All

couple of on going issues I need to address, wondering if there are solutions or these are common problems.

1. Rollover tips work maybe 10% of the time, and I have them set in CUI.

2. For some reason for last couple of weeks my detail frames only show up sometimes when i roll over them (less than 10%), so when I'm clean up some details I turn on frame permanently sometimes and then have to turn them off again.

3. In my Drawing styles I have created my own folder with my own drawing styles but the do not show up in my user section on the palette, also the ones I organise to show in the other folder do not ever update after closing and opening AS again.

Any suggestions much appreciated

Thank you in advance

1.) Rollover tooltips...there are many threads belonging to this. In my opinion the most problems could be managed by starting AS as admin by using the right mouse click on the desktop icon. Normally this is helps the most people.
2.)not known to me as an issue in AS but maybe by some other. Maybe the starting with admin rights like pointing in number 1 helps here to. You could also try to save your files in a path with full rights (I made the experience, that the desktop is not the best place to save it)
3.) To see the own Detailsstyles, there are a few steps necessary:
-the checkboxes in the Detailsstyles manager should be set
-after this you had to close the palette, restart AS and then open the palette, because only by doing this, the palette.xml file is reloaded
-and last point don't forget to change the flag of the palette to the user section.

But I remember you as an experienced user, so I thought the last points maybe already known to you. So maybe it's better to make a Screencast or made some pics to show the problem.

  1. Rollover tooltips were a bit weird at first and I don't know if this helps but I set these up in CUI whilst in my drawing template file. I don't know if this makes a difference but they do seem to work OK for me now.
  2. Covered by Sebastian

Well I figure most of them are my own fault and one definitely is.

Appreciate the replies, I have AS set to start as admin.

1.Rollovertips seem to work for plates not Beams, screencast Below.

2.With the detail boxes genius here changed the color of the boxes to red, so as you can see from screencast below I didn't recognize the option for Green Frames on as they were now red. Not too smart

3. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but it looks correct to me as regards Detail Style Tool Palette. Screencast below

sorry but the screencast don't show your palettes =(
And maybe for the green frames, there's another default "detail frame visibility" I really use it often, to see the detailframes the whole time, but then the green is a little bit to strange 😃

I will try make the screencast again, guess I should have watched them.

As regards the frames, what I mean is that I didn't recognize the setting in Man Tools as I had changed the color of the frames to red, but the setting said green as they were originally Green, so that issue is sorted.

Thank you for your time guys
