Mirroring Handrails are complete opposite and different orientation

I'm on AS2016 and building 2 stair towers and I'm trying to mirror the whole structure and I'm running into issues with the handrails. All the steel  is fine except the handrails. I also selected all the connection boxes.

The stairs with the post on the outside are the correct way. See the picture when i mirrored, the post and railing went onto the inside, plus all the angles are different orientation. I've never ran into this issue before and I'm sure there's something I'm doing wrong.

This is normal.

Take a deep breath and try to copy and rotate the stairs at 180 degrees.

I have the whole stair tower above that and if i rotate 180, then all the tiers will have different entrances to the structure. Pic below on the right tower, just need to mirror that to the left side.

Hi,

Tried with post alignment Top, it allows us to move post left and right with no issue, then we will have to add length to the posts, which is easy and fast.

The connection to the stringer will have to be a custom connection, but again not that bad, it is faster than creating all rails again. So when mirror, change the post alignment to TOP, make a polyline on top of the stringer, offset the poly down and extend to line the posts.

If posts are angle, we can adjust the orientation: 

I don't have your macro, but if the only issue is rail is offset on the opposite side, using left or right and rotating the posts ad adjusting the connection plates should work.

oh wow, so you have to go in increments?

Whatever it takes, maybe 30 seconds or so if stairs are isolated.

Otherwise, as I said, take a deep breath and start adjusting after mirroring.

I see when you first mirror it, the handrails are messed up. The second time you mirror it, it works, but you're back to the original orientation.

So, from your video at the start, i see the stairs going up, from left to right, but when you finish, the stairs are going up right to left. it needs to be left to right.

ouch,  I assumed the stairs will start the same way on both sides of the structure. 

It has to be adjusted with Post Alignment, left or right.

I went ahead and corrected each railing post, plus handrails to the correct orientation and left or right. I figured there would be a quicker way of doing it, but this honestly didn't take too long. Thanks for the help
