How do I change or reconfigure my setup so that these scales are in metric instead of imperial when I am creating a scaled view within 'Drawing Styles'. All my other settings are in metric and my dimensioning, measuring, etc. all read metric. Not sure what I have to do to get these set up to read metric.
I have attached several screen shots that show:
1. Drawing scales are set to metric.
2. Drawing Style Manager > View Properties > Scale which is imperial (Which I want to see metric scales)
3. Select Destination File which is imperial (Which I want to see metric scales)
Basically, I want to see everything about a model or drawing in metric. Is there a certain location or locations that I can change in order to read strictly metric?
Thanks for your response!
Hello,
1. Confirm Global Settings
Ensure your software's global units are set to metric:
Navigate to File > Options (or equivalent in your software).
Locate the Units section.
Set the default unit system to Metric (e.g., millimeters, meters).
2. Update Drawing Style Manager Settings
Adjust the settings in Drawing Style Manager to reflect metric scales:
Open the Drawing Style Manager.
Select the specific View Properties associated with your style.
In the Scale settings:
Verify the scales listed and ensure they are in metric (e.g., 1:100, 1:50).
If not, adjust or replace them with metric values.
3. Check Template Files
The issue may be tied to specific template files:
Go to File > Templates or Destination File Settings.
Open the template used for creating drawings or models.
Verify that all scales and settings are configured for metric.
Save the template with updated metric scales.
4. Edit Scale Libraries
If the software relies on a scale library:
Access the Scale Library (typically under Options or a separate configuration menu).
Replace or add metric scales to the library (e.g., 1:10, 1:100).
Remove imperial scales from the library, if applicable.
5. Synchronize Units Across Tools
In some software, different tools (e.g., dimensioning, measuring, scales) may have independent settings:
Verify and synchronize units in Measure Settings, Annotation Styles, and Text Styles to metric.
6. Restart the Software
After making changes, restart the application to ensure all settings take effect.

Thank you very much for your reply! Unfortunately, I am 100% brand new to this software so some of your points are very confusing to me. I can't really find several of your points within the Advance Steel menus. For instance, I can't find any place within the Drawing Styles Manager to reflect a metric scale or for that matter Scale Settings. If you could provide some screen captures to your points, that may help me out a tremendous amount.
Thanks, Blair
