After updating the detail view of my drawing I noticed that all of my weld symbols have changed to the part label callout. Definitely a bug here. I moved one beam in my structure and went back in and updated the drawing and when in to edit and make sure it was cleaned up. Then noticed all of my leaders calling out my welds are now calling out the part numbers.
Also, after detail updates I notice that the dimensions and leaders revert back to there original location. Is there a setting that locks these down or excludes these features from updates.

I hope you are using the latest update to Advance Steel as the issue of moving dimensions has been greatly improved, but there is still more work to do.
When adding manual dimensions you should always have your snap setting set to "preferred for manual dimension" (bottom of the stack on the osnap popup in the bottom RH corner of screen. Also go to the very bottom of this list and click on "object snap settings..." and choose the last tab "steel osnap" and check the preferred for manual dimensions is checked as well.
This will go a long way to keeping manual dimensions in place. The tags and other things are a separate issue and hopefully will be sorted soon.

Ok, none of these setting were set this way on my machine. I have completed this setup and hope that it will help in the future. Thank you very much.

Open the drawing template file you use and make these changes as well as others and save. That way when you start a new drawing using that template these settings should be already applied.
