Import CIS/2 - Double Angle Import from STAAD

Hi All,

I tried importing double angle (LD) from STAAD to Advance Steel. But it is identifying it as single angle only. Any solutions.

Hello CVP, Compound beams can't be transferred using the CIS2 format. Inside the STP file, the compound beam is not written as 2 separate sections, it is seen as a single section. Advance Steel is able to import compound beams from IFC files (the imported beam is split in 2 separate single beams) or from SMLX files (the imported beam remains a compound beam). I tried to import double angle from SMLX file & it doesn't work >>> 
how can I do it ?? 
I i can't >>> I'd choose a different section >>>
If it's possible to select all member with the same section and assign a different section for all of the ??? (a compound section for eg)
