When you are modeling the beams and columns, make sure the system lines connect.  In your drawing, select the beam and select advance properties from the right click menu.  On the second tab, check the box for "Center Line" or "Median Line".  One of those should be the one you are looking for depending on how you modeled the individual item.  You will need to update the detail to get it to show, but it will be there.

thank you for your advice 🙂

I tried to follow your advice, but It doesn't appear.

It maybe need to increase center line from girder to column's center in create modeling's step.

I'm going to think about the way of increase center line.

thank you again, Jonathan 🙂

Did you observe the layer properties of this line? Probably the layer for this line is turned off.

HI,

Whether system lines and / or centre lines automatically appear in a particaular drawing for a particular object is a function of the drawing style. As you will see from numerous other posts in this forum Drawing Styles are extremely complex and not for the feint hearted. I would advise getting help from your dealer with those.

However, after the drawing is created you can manuallly turn on the desired system / center lines as follows:-

Double click the beam in the drawing view.

On the Axes page in the dialog tick System Line Color  and / or Centerline Color as required.Capture.JPG

Close the dialog

Update the view.

The requested line(s) will now be shown for that beam.

thanks for your advice.

But sadly, what I mean 'appear line to column's center' is different to turn on/off line's properties.

It was my fault. I'm not good at English, so can't show my question correctly.

there are same girder's drawing. (connected to bracket)

you may be find the different thing two of them.

1st pic is TEKLA's drawing.

2nd pic is advance steel.

did you find red line in 1st pic?

that's the line I want to appear. It start to object's end point to column's center.

I tried many time to appear 'that line' in advance steel.

and solved. 🙂
