Horizontal Brace connection to 2 beams at column

I work in heavy industrial & use a lot of horizontal angle braces. I have a very common connection that is used a lot, and is actually detailed in our standard details sheets where two beams, an angle brace, and a column intersect (see screenshot). I need the brace connection to not interfere with the beam to column connections. I need to make this in the model time and time again and I'm not finding a connection even close in the library. I have created this and tried to turn it into a custom connection. I get the blue custom connection box but if I try to insert it at another location it just doesn't work. Also, the angle of the brace coming into the intersection may vary considerably so it would be real nice to have it work by just clicking beams involved.

Hi,

It might pay to try making it as TWO custom connections. One to place the angle cleats and the plate across them (Two Beams). The second to trim the angle bracing and bolt it to the plate (Beam at point or perhaps Beam at end depending how the angle is modelled before bolting to the plate). The first driver beam is the one that controls the orientation of everything so the second joint would follow the angle of the brace beam.

If the distances are always the same and the two main beams are always at right angles then I would thin a single 3 beam joint might work if you select he angle brace first.  Probably best if all three beams meet at the same point before applying this joint.
