Hide or Turn Off Dimension Extension Lines?

Is it possible to Hide or Turn Off dimension extension lines? Easily done in regular AutoCAD but I haven't found a way to do it in AS. Personally I like to not have the extension line obscuring the system or centre line.

If I just move the snap point for the dimension it will put it back to the end of the system line the next time I do a detail update.

I would like to achieve the bottom arrangement in the below example screenshot, see the extension line circled in green...

Any tips or pointers?

Many thanks.

Hi @Totec_MW

This cannot be done in DSM.

The fastest way is probably to create a new dimension style in prototypes, and manually change the dimension's dim style after the detail is created from AS properties:

Have a great day.

If it is made of steel, I can model it and detail it.

Hi again @Totec_MW

So far the quickest way to load multiple dimension styles in a dwg is either by using the ADC or by having a ready block in ACAD Toolapelettes.

If you create a simple block with dimensions in a Template dwg located on your desktop, save the dwg file, right-click and drag in toolpalette.  Then drag in your details dwg if dim style is missing in it.

I recorded a short screencast.

Ilko that's great thank you. I have created a new dim style, the same as the AS one but with extension lines suppressed. Just a simple case of changing the style for any =/= dims that I have, and I can drag it into any drawings as needed using your method in the screencast.

Thanks again.
