Revit does not allow me to create this connection "Gusset Plate to Column and Base Plate". I am allowed to pick the column and brace as part of the connection, but there is no way to select the base plate.
We do most of our modeling in Revit and then export to Advance Steel; this process is pretty seamless. We want to make sure our model in Advanace Steel is synchronized with Revit to avoid some of the clashing issues we have been experiencing in the field.
I can create this connection in Advance steel, but when it comes time to synchronize back to Revit it is not recognized and there is not way to import it to Revit from Advance Steel. Usually when Revit does not recognize a connection it will just create an in place generic model family, but not for this connection.
Is this a bug in Revit or is there another way to create this connection at the column base plate? I can create it at other locations in Revit as long as I pick 3 structural members. I don't want to use the "Gusset Plate at On Diagonal" connection because it is not really connected to the base plate.
Thanks
