Folded plate, sync. with revit

Hi all, 

I have made a connnection in Advance steel and I want to sync. it with revit. The smlx file can transfer the elements and connectin very well. But it can't transfer the folded plate that I attatched to the element. 
I would like to ask:

How can I bring the folded plate into revit environment with smlx sync. method ?

Hi,
have you tried to just send the folded plate on its own via the SMLX,   i beleive they do support the export from AS into RVT,  but not the return route.

I tried it as well but it doesn't work! It doesn't bring the folded plate in Revit environment.

Hi, 

I think the problem is the nature of folded plate that is different in Revit and AS. As I tried, in AS we can make a folded plate and edit it with a relation box. But in Revit, we can make separate plates and attatch them with weld! 

This relation in AS in most cases is a parametric 3D fillet but in Revit it's a point with weld information! 

I think there should be other ways to make a folded plate directly in Revit.

If you need steel structure drawings, forget about Revit and just use Advance Steel. Otherwise, you'll just worry...

I have checked my model in AS again. I made it completely by folded plate but it's not imported in Revit. I attatch the file here if there is a possibility to check. Maybe I miss some adjustments. As you mentioned, the export from AS to Revit should be supported.

Thanks for your suggestion, 

However, in our project steel elements are just a small part of the entire model! It includes many other architectural and landscape elements that can't be modeled easily in AS environment. That's why we try to solve this isse preferably by sync. method between Revit and AS.

hi, 
using RVT & AS 2023
so opening the AS file sent,  the plate element is a block,   i removed the block by using the Explode command, this retuned it to being a folded plate.
couple of things,  i change the main part of the fold to be the larger plate element and also number the model for both part and assembly.

then exported from AS to RVT via the SMLX,     then in Revit using the import SMLX,    the folded plate did come into the revit workspace.

however the fold details where not well presented,  ( please don't shoot the messenger)

so it did sort of work, but the result was not ideal in Revit.

Yes, I have tried this as well and the result is not desirable in Revit.
