Hi everyone,

I extended a beam using the Cut at object tool and the system line remained at the initial position,

How can I extend the system line?

I like using the grips for stuff like this. Select the beam, and hover over the grip. use the "Lengthen" option. THis will extend the system line while keeping it locked in its current axis.

Hi @Julio_Soto ,

the problem is that if you drag the grip to lengthen the system line it enlarges the element with the same extension of the system line, which means if the system line is larger let's say 5cm then the element, the same extension remains by dragging, only the element enlarges.

Hi @Miguel_Abreu ,

It works but with some limitations,

maybe I don't know how to use it well.

1. What's the difference between the system line and the center line?

2. Do you have a video or tutorial that shows how to extend or trim the system line to a specific line or body (by clicking the required face)?

 thank you!

Hi @eyal.ch,

you shortened the beam by using the macro, the system line remained at its beginning/end, which is the correct result for the selected procedure. From a static point of view, it is an advantage to see where the system lines go, or where they meet. Therefore, plan the beams for your purposes so that you do not have to move their system line.
