End cap on tube connection

Hi,

I am strugeling adding end cap to my brace connection using the "Tube connection middle with sandwich plates".

Using the "Tube connection with sandwich plates - additional object" it works well as show by the image below.

When I use 

I get this result

Instead of one full end cap there is always two.

Have tried different combinations of the connection but no sucess so far.

These are my settings:

I have used the same settings for both connections with the different reuslt as shown by the images above.

Do anyone of you know how to solve it?
