Drawing Style - omit dimensions if features are not present

Hi All,

I have the dimension style below, which adds dimensions for plates that have holes. However, when there are no holes, I want to omit the dimension entirely - at the moment, it just shows a dimension between the extreme left and extreme right.

Effectively - if no points are found for item 1 in the list, exit dimension creation.

Any suggestions?

Hi

You need to remove line 2 and 3 and add a reference dimension. That way if there are holes, it will place the hole dimensions and ref them to the plate edges, and if there no holes, then no dimension will be placed.

Example below:

That worked nicely - thanks.

I ended up selecting a 'Ref. Mp - Extreme Bottom" or /Left/Top/Right in my case depending on the side of the part I'm dimensioning from, and it seems to work well.
