i would like to change the way a dimension looks.  currently it shows (16') instead of (16'-0) which i prefer.  where can i make this change in the settings?

also if i would like to manually add some additional text to a dimension, how can i do so?

dimension shows  (12'-5).   would like to make it look like    1-W14x22 x 12'-5.

Hi,

If you want to have some additional text within the dimension line - this is a new feature in Advance Steel 2016 - just look at this video to understand how it works:

or, you can use the labels & dimensions tab in the ribbon, click on text, click on the drop down menu arrow and select, single line text. from there you can just click in the places you want text and the you can write what you please.add text to dims.png
