This is controlled by the AutoCAD DIMSTYLE.  Make the adjustments to AS_DIM_STYLE1 in your prototype file.

You must be taking a lot of time doing drawings if you are adjusting this every time.......

I have just tested this and it is working for me.

If you change the DIMSTYLE on an existing drawing you need to use _astm4commdetupdatedetail to push the changes through to your AS dimension.

If you change on your prototype file, the changes will be there every time you create a new drawing.

Hi @desigan2015,

in a Advance Steel drawing, the changes in AutoCAD dimension style do not occur immediately for the existed dimensions. First make the change in the AutoCAD dimension style in the actually drawing (you need to make it in each drawing), then select the dimensions in the drawing and manually change  the dimension style for these objects (right click on, change it) to another one. Then switch the dimension style for selected dimensions back. You should see the change immediately after such a "switch".

Later, you can then copy the properties of such dimensions to other such objects in the drawing using the MATCHPROP command.

You have also the posibility to import the AutoCAD dimension styles from another drawing:

Hi All ,

Please refer the blue color point in the  attached snap . Acutally in default my dimension picking point is at the center of holes . but i want to have the picking point at the end of the hole  centerline symbol    (like i shown in option 2).

snap point on the end of the the hole center line - unfortunately automatically impossible. Why? The hole (lokation) is in AS defined by the middle point (center), where the symbol for the hole in the drawing will be inserted and it will be dimensioned. The same point will be used in NC., etc. Therefore, dimensioning to other points of the hole is not meaningful. I do not recommend manual dimensioning on the point on the object you mentioned.

Use points that are authoritative for production, assembly, ... there are even standards/guidelines for this.
