Detail dimensions on centerline instead of pipe (or beam) end.

Hi everyone,

Any advice how to get my process drawings to detail my assemblies with dimensions from beam end to end instead of its centerline end to end?

If a connection or a feature cuts a beam shorter, then the dimension I get in the detail drawing shows the length of the beam's centerline instead of the beam itself.

For example I use the 'Cut at object" feature on my railings, to bring their handrails close to one another (it is much faster than doing it from inside the railing macro). The result on my drawings is the attached.
Any idea how to get the dimension to automatically go to the end of the pipe instead of its centerline?

Thanks,

C.S.

therefore you had to change the detailstyle itself.

I would create a copy of my existing AstorAddin, to have a backup. The dim point you're looking for should named something like MP Extreme
