creating a custom beam and plate section on Advance steel

Hi there

I've somehow figured out how to create a custom 300PFC+plate section through "compound beam". The problem I'm having now is that whenever i connect two of these beams together with shear plate, it doesn't work properly and i have to try manually adjusting the plate, then realign the bolts and welds. i can do it manually but some of the drawings have like a lot in them and I can't see myself doing this for each one. I've also tried to use custom templates but that seemed to work sometimes but then other times the same thing happens, and the connection plate end up somewhere else like the picture below.

is there an easier way to doing this?

You can try the copy with adjustment tool.  Once you get one connection right you can copy to all other locations.

This is one of the most powerful commands in AS.
