This tool is for converting an old project to a newer version. The most users just open the old dwg, but this is not correct. And additional this could be used for converting for example the prototypes (your own) from one version to a newer one.

The steps are easy:

  • select the folder in which the project (or files are stored) for exmaple the prototypes folder
  • now all dwg should be shon, which are in this folder, you could decide which you want to convert
  • select a backup folder: create a folder, where the old project/dwg should be backuped
  • same for log directory
  • type a name for the log file

The result will be, that all the dwgs will be converted and the old files will be backuped in the backup folder.
This had to be done with prototypes, user connections and so on.

For a whole project we don't recommend to use a new version while the project is not ended. We always told our customers to use the version in which you start the project to avoid problems.
