Connection frames around stairs not visible

After an unfortunate computer crash, our company was forced to finally upgraded from Advance Steel 2017 to 2024.  I am trying to modify a stair model created in the 2017 version in the 2024 version.  The gray boxes, i.e. the Connection Frame, that defines the width, height and length of the stringers are all missing.  This is the second time this has happened.  The "connection frames" layer is visible and not frozen.  Evey thing in the model is turned on and visible.  I don't see a particular setting in the Managment Tools that would make the Connection Frames invisible.  The stair still behaves at though it is defined by the invisible Connection Frame.  Stranger still, I've checked out other stair models done in the old software, and the frames are there and behaving correctly.  Any thoughts on how to get them back?  Your help is greatly appreciated.

Right click on a part, do you have connection settings (or something similar) available?

Did you try show all at tool bars and project explorer?

I just tried show all on Project Explorer.  Nothing.  I reloaded a previous save of the file, and the Connection Frames were back.  However, they disappeared again sometime over the past couple hours of modeling.  Weird.

I can right click on the stringer and get Advance Properties.  I can also right click on the stringer and get in the Advance Joint Properties for the stair.  The problem is I need to physically move the stair in 3D space.  The Connection Frame is the only way to do this without deleting the advance joint properties frame and losing all control of the stair.  The stair behaves as though the Connection Frame is still there controlling the entities, it simple not visible.  If I go into another stair and delete the Connection Frame it also deletes the joint properties frame.

You probably already know that but just in case.... Connection Frames are only visible in 2D wideframe. I'm sure it can't be the issue here but who know!

Hi,

If you can see the joint box (not the structural element box) then you can use Transform Elements / Advance Copy with the Move option to move the stair without needing the structural element frame.
