Cladding Detail Drawings

Hi everyone,

MehmetErtem2_0-1634988290807.png

I need some advice on cladding detail drawings, as I couldn't find the answers on my search.

  1. I'm not sure I need SP drawings for cladding sheets because I don't know if they can be marked by the fabricator. I don't know. If so How can generate SP drawings for cladding sheets?
  2. On elevation views, it's hard to show the sheet marks. Even though we show the marks, I think it's still hard to understand which sheet to be bolted to which position. (Furthermore, there are overlapping which makes it harder) @AleckGiles @Anonymous

Hi,

If you don't want the part drawings for the cladding don't make them or delete them. (Turn of the cladding layer and select everything else to make drawings from instead of generating all drawings). Otherwise, you would require scripts in your Detail Style Map to block drawings of cladding based on model roles.

You would have to edit the drawing styles to change the label strategy for the cladding panels if you don't like the labels you are getting and don't want to manually edit them.

@AleckGiles

Thanks for your reply.

What I want to do for labels to appear clearly is either:

  • adjust a fill colour for background of the label frames (I couldn't do that)
  • or, adjust the hatch of  cladding sheets not visible (again I  couldn't do that in object presentation options)

Hi,

To mask the background behind label text, go to Defaults in Management Tools. Navigate to Drawing Labelling > General and tick default "Enable background fill colour for labels". Close Management Tools. Home > Settings > Update defaults.

I am not sure if an existing drawing will be affected in an update os you should try making a new drawing.

What you see on the cladding is not hatching it is the ripples and ridges of the complex cladding shape. You cannot hide this due to the way most cladding sheets have been denied in the system. This is the Standard shape, not the Exact shape. If defining your own cladding define a simple Standard Shape and only show all the complex shape in the Exact Contour.

Aleck,

It was already ticked when I generated the detail drawing (in above pic)
