Can't catch all elements by bolts

Hello 

Ive got really strange problem with my Advance steel model. Ican't catch flange by bolts as on the picture. The profile is built-up section.

The problem is strange because in diffrent section I can do it properly.  Please help.

Sure, You'll find in this model bolts which work properly and which cant catch elements.

i'm not sure if its my laptop, but the model is extremly slow on my side. 

The bolt I see, could be selected and connect the other parts. How do you create the bolts by copy (maybe AutoCAD Copy?)

The other point is: you create a very long beam and connect by using endplates, why don't part the and then connect it?

on this beam, where the bolts don't work: after exploding the beam into separate parts and exploding the screw to separate ones, all is working fine. And I think the problem occours of something with the compound beam

Yes , the model is extremly slow on my laptop as well. It had happened after inserting bolt elements. Do you have any clue why is it like that ?

It depends, I copy bolts if flange in compound beam are parallel, otherwise I must insert.

How to explod compound beam to separate ones  ? I can only do that to lines and it doesnt work in that case.

I find that bolts that used to catch evewrything , now don't do it  😕

you created a welded beam which is extrem long, so you set a small gap in the web of the beam, then you create to plates in this gap and screwed it. You had to remember, that the beam is nevertheless "one" beam. So in my opinion it would be better, not to set a gap, I would create to beams, and then I would create a bolted connection.

And the compound beam (welded beam) could be exploded by using the Command: "disassemble compound sections"

I cant explode this beams by " disasseble Compund Section " option  beacause it mess everything. 

Please explain it to me what is " seting a gap" beacause I cant understand it. Is it an easy, I dont have to remodel everything  ?

you create a beam, but it had to be 2 beams in my opinion:

Yes, beacause it is one beam.  

Is it the only solution to dissassmbly this profile into seperate beams? beacase I have to remodel everything, 

 " Disasseble Compund Section " make in my model one big mess so that is also not a solution for me.

Why some bolts is catch flange , and others dont ?

there's no possibility to reproduce, why this happened. Maybe you use AutoCAD commands for Advance Steel or something other happened. I don't have the time this week to make a deeper investigation. Maybe you call your Reseller, if you have support from this side.

Yes I use sometimes AutoCad commands , but inserting bolts is advance steel command , right ?

yes, but do you maybe copy the beam or mirror it? The problem is maybe not the bolt, it's your beam.

so now I'm really sure, the problem is appearing because of the beams. I did the following:

• export the model with the Advance Steel export (smlx file)
• open a new drawing import the smlx, so the model should be recreated completely

But the result is, that some endpoint of the beams are not correct (of what I could see). but the bolts could be changed by using "add elements" and it works.

Maybe you do the same and correct the model.

But additional: created drawings could be attach to the new model.

Hey, It seems to work , Can I work with that new model ? The model work much faster also.

yes why not. But if you have already details or Bom list, you had to recreate them.
