I remember there's already a thread for this...

The main question is: what is your business...

I'm not very familiar with tekla, but maybe someone other could give a bit more information.

The positive point for Advance Steel is for sure, that both are based on AutoCAD. So the daily handling is similar.

Overall the function and commands are very similar. I have many prosteel users in my trainings and from side of view, they are very fast in understanding how Advance Steel is working.

But I'm working for a Autodesk Reseller 😄 so maybe some other users are better in comparison.

If I remember correctly, @bukko is using both.

I don't think this is a question that can really be answered. Both are very good and have their strengths and weaknesses.

From my experience, ProSteel users are already comfortable with the Autocad 3D environment, so migrate to AS a lot easier.

My only recommendation would be that if you're going to adopt AS:

- Make sure you are properly and professionally trained.

- Do not expect AS to produce perfect drawings straight out of the box. Of course, you can use the basic installation, but AS comes into its own when you understand how to get the best outcome.
