Advance Steel keeps crashing!

 "AutoCAD Application has stopped working"

the only option is to click the Close program Icon!

Where does the crash happen? Can you start the software?

Advance Steel reopens, but as soon as you open anything it crashes! Not only the things that were open at the time of the first crash! So its impossible to use at this moment!

Have you changed the drawing template that it opens? I would try reset AutoCAD to default then try open AS

I can open drawings using AutoCAD MEP 2019. Only Advance Steel 2019 refuses to open anything!

So I can't edit any of the steelwork at the moment!

How do I reset Advance Steel to Default? When I open Advance Steel, I don't see any options to reset! Do you mean I must get the Administrator to Reload Advance Steel?

No, go to the start menu > All Programs > Advance Steel 2019 > Reset Settings to Default

Is MEP messing up with Advance Steel?

Same happened with me before using Autocad Mechanical.

I associated dwg file with Autocad dwg launcher to be opened with by default (or clean autocad) (Right click on the dwg file, open with, choose default program)

If this does not work repair SQL server from the control panel, and repair Advance Steel just in case.

This helped with AS crashing with AutoCad Mechanical.

I have the same issue with Advance Steel. I had almost 20 (yes, twenty!) crashes during last 3 hours. Resetting AS doesn't help, new nVidia driver doesn't help. Any advice?

the newest software driver is not the one which is the best. 

Try these one: Autodesk

The crashes could have so much reasons, therefor we need more information about your system. 
Is there an error message?

Do you have full reading and writing right to the Advance Steel folder?

does it appear since a few days or since you install the software?

Hi,

There is only message "AS has stopped working" without any code or explanation.

I have access to read/write to the AS folder.

I'm using AS for over a year. The issue started few days ago (one or two crashes per day). After reinstalling nVidia driver i'd say it went much worse.

I'll try driver from your link 

Edit: the message after crash says "program AucoCAD Application has stoped working"

The installation of recommended graphics drivers helps. Thank you.

I have one more question. After opening any model i see the following message:

GPU error: The Graphics Performance tuner has detected a problem and turned off high quality geometry.

"

Is it sth that i should worry about?

I'm using hp Zbook mobile workstation with nVidia Quadro M1000M 2gb vram

Hmm I think I the videocard is maybe not the best one. If it works...let it go.

I had same problem with HP Zbook (intel and amd)

When i instaled new bios and graphic card drivers for Dell. everything work great
