Access to Program Files and Data Files required?

Hi,

I'm the IT support for a client who uses Autodesk Advance Steel 2016. I'm not super fimiliar with this application, however the client is insisting that this application requres that users have full access to the Program Files and Program Data folders on the system to use this application properly, which doesn't sound right to me.

Can anyone confirm if this is correct? Any information would be appriciated.

Advance Steel software needs full permission to:

Registry Entries:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\AUTODESK
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AUTODESK

Folders:

The folder the program was installed in, which should be:

• C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Advance Steel 2016
• C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared
• C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Advance Steel 2016

User Folders:

• C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk
• C\Users\<the current user>\AppData\Local\Autodesk
• C:\Users\<the current user>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk
