Access label content using .net

Hi All,

Does anyone know how to access/manipulate the drawing labels using .net? Understand this can't be done with AS API, but apparently it's possible using Autocad API instead...

Would like to be able to select a label and read the tokens it contains...

not sure waht you want to do, but I think this will be tricky. 

The labels are an AS object and as I know not readable (but I'm not sure 100%).
Maybe you describe a bit more, what is your target.

The labels are proxy objects only, no properties via "LIST" command available, regardless of the object

I had previously understood the same. That is, you can't dig into the label properties and manipulate the content. Apparently though, this is actually possible using ACAD api.

What I want to do is select a label and add content to it. For example quantity in assembly...

Ultimately, I want to select one label in a view. Automatically pick up all other labels in the same view that contain identical information. Delete all "identical" labels in that view. Modify the content of the original label.
