The latest version of ADC (16.12.0.2384) has a new pin icon next to the settings cog icon. If you select the pin the ADC window remains open but locked to the bottom right corner of your main screen and can't be moved. It also sits in front of any other window all the time which is a pitty. This can be a pain if you only use one screen, but is workable on dual screen set ups or if you have a laptop with one ot two additional monitors.
Not quite what I asked for. I'd give Autodesk a 5/10 for trying.
At least you can keep the ADC window open so you can keep an eye on sync progress, and you don't have to wait for the long time it takes ADC to open the window when it's syncing files and folders to ACC/BIM360 if it is pinned.
One thing I do like about the latest version is that it has Select Projects, Reference Explorer, Upload with References and the Troubleshooting Tool as menu ribbon buttons at the bottom of the ADC main window so you don't have to go into the settings button to get to these tools now. One less click helps a little I suppose.
