Goal: Better tracking of submittal statuses that reveal more information of where the submittal is along the process of approval.
Process: This could be accomplished by allows for customizable status sets on the Submittals tool similar to what is in the ASSETS tool. We could create the submittal and put it in a development status. After all the information and documentation is uploaded we could send it to a project member for the existing review. After review the submittal could be submittted to additional parties. After the submittal has been reviewed by all nescessary parties the status could be changed to Approved, Approved with note, or Rejected. Selecting Rejected would step back the submittal to the develop status. This would allow for the process to be more easily tracked from the submittals page, lead to beter communication of timeline for approval, and make this tool mush more approachable for subcontractors who typically do this though a spread sheet.
