setting drawing scales in Takeoff

setting drawing scales in Takeoff

It would be helpful to set the most common drawing scale for a drawing set when uploading it.

Most drawings in a drawing set have a common scale. This would save considerable time vs having to enter the scale for each drawing as you come to it.

(True this could lead to using the wrong scale on a drawing, but companies could decide if they have enough discipline to fix those few drawings that have a different scale. Or if they want no scale for the drawing set upload.)

I agree but we would use this for sheets to the field.  It would save them the calibration step if we could add the scale when uploading.

It does help the field make accurate mark ups and being able to confirm a dimension if it is not on the drawing already. This would be very helpful for our group.

How is this scale added to the plans? Is this something that would have to be added prior to the DC uploading PDF's or can the DC add it while uploading to ACC?

@abackhaus at this time it is added when a user opens a drawing and chooses calibrate.  Currently it has to be done on every drawing, one at a time.  You have to open it and set the scale.  It would be great if we had the scale set in AC or Bluebeam and when uploaded Sheets recognized that a scale was on the drawing.  But even the ability to add it at upload while setting the version and sheet name would be save time in the field.
