Rounding Settings for Mark-ups

With Mark-ups on Change orders- we usually keep the overall amount rounded to the nearest dollar by changing the amount of our fee. We still do need to see amounts less than a dollar in the system, but limiting amounts less than a dollar in our change orders makes budget management much easier.  

The preferred method for us would be to have a mark-up  amount variable so that we can modify it to the nearest dollar.

Hi Tim, do you mean you'd make the markup variable like you can today, but in this screen when you apply it you'd see the $ amount as well as % and be able to adjust it?

Hi @ian_turner,

We would like to have both the percentage and amount be variable, and if we had only one option it would be amount in lieu of %.  We will sometimes negotiate mark-ups with owners in contentious situations, and ideally we like to keep the overall amount of the change-orders to whole dollars- it makes the accounting side much easier.
