Optional supplier invite

Hi there,

Could you please add in an option when adding a supplier/contact to a project, of being sent an invite?

It is not always necessary, especially in our case, for a supplier/contact to be sent an invite and it creates a lot of confusion from them. I get many emails/phone calls about it.

There is the option to send contacts an email when an PO/invoice has been accepted, so would like this to be the same for setting up a contact in a project.

Sorry am not sure i follow. Do you mean you want to use a none project member in cost and not have them consume a license?

If so use this option to add from account address book. They are not invited to the project

So when I add a project member to a project, we don't need them to have access to any products, we just need to be able to sync with xero to be able to send an invoice, so when they receive an invite they are all confused and we get a lot of calls about what to do when they don't even need to know about it as it happens in the back end

There's no need to add a project member. They just need to be a company in the Account address book!

If the company exists here (Only Account Admins can manage this

In Cost, (I am showing the supplier section in the Contracts flyout) scroll down past the project members and select the option to load companies in account directory

You can load contacts from account directory or add new contacts to the company if you need to. Note what is says in the red shape

That's it. They won't be invited to the project and you can interact with them for cost workflows via email!
