Option to unlock files locked by user in a project through Autodesk Desktop Connector

Option to unlock files locked by user in a project through Autodesk Desktop Connector

Currently files remain in locked status from time to time even after the file has been saved and closed through Autodesk Desktop Connector.

This problem is a major one in case it locks a file that needs to be used/worked on by different people in a project. When this happens people need to make phone calls to confirm that the other person finished it's work, unlock manually which is a great annoyance.

As far as I understand Autodesk Desktop Connector gets its command that a file can be unlocked from the Microsoft application(Excel, Word, etc). If this does not work consistently(and it doesn't!) at least we should have the option to unlock the files that are locked by our user in a project in the Autodesk Desktop Connector menu. We have people working on 10-20 "shared" spreadsheets in a day, it is unrealistic to ask people to check if the program unlocked every file automatically after they are done working in that spreadsheet just because the communication inbetween the Microsoft Application and Autodesk Desktop Connector is not working as it should and Autodesk does not have an influence in the inner working of outside applications.

At least this option would provide a tool to circumvent these issues that are a lot of times outside of the perview of Autodesk.

Or any other solution to this major problem in our company would be welcomed! Many people in our company have issues with this problem.

I completely agree and we have the same frustration on a mega project where you can't always get ahold of a project admin / don't want to bug them constantly.
