It would be a great help if when browsing the models inside a Model Coordination view, they were all broken down in a similar way.
Currently, when adding native models (rvt or dwg) to a view, they are broken down by categories (rvt) or type of elements (lines, 3D objects, blocks for dwg). While when adding an nwc, they are broken down by level (if the nwc came from a revit file) or by layer (if the nwc came from a dwg file).
I think that if we could have the native files broken down by level/layers it would be much easier to navigate through them. The breakdown by categories/types of element doesn't help when navigating inside a view.
Especially when using the coordination view to create a federated model that everyone can open in Navisworks. Navigating the selection tree on Navisworks with the type of elements is not practical at all. In many cases I have had to leave the coordination view with the natives behind and go back to exporting and using nwc because of the matter (which is time consuming).
People need to be able to navigate the federated view in a practical view, and breaking down the native models in a practical way would be very beneficial.
