Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) currently limits Custom Field (Text) inputs to 250 characters. This restriction creates challenges for large and complex projects where detailed, structured information is required. Custom Text Fields are commonly used to capture contractual references, technical notes, compliance remarks, and operational instructions. In many cases, these details cannot be adequately conveyed within the existing character limit, forcing users to abbreviate critical information or split content across multiple fields. As a result, teams rely on workarounds such as creating additional Custom Fields, using external documents, or storing important information in comments or descriptions. This reduces data consistency, impacts reporting quality, and undermines ACC’s effectiveness as a centralized source of truth. Requested Enhancement Increase the Custom Field (Text) character limit beyond 250 characters, while maintaining existing functionality such as searchability, reporting, and cross-module usage. Following the ISO 19650 folder structure for large civil and infrastructure projects, correctly assigning folder permissions is essential. Currently, this process is challenging because there is no way to link the assigned user’s company with their role. Creating ISO 19650-based roles is not desirable, as it would result in an excessive number of roles, reducing clarity. In the worst case, permissions would need to be assigned individually to users. To address this, it would be highly beneficial to enable a relationship between companies and roles when assigning folder permissions (and/or rules). This would: Simplify the setup of large-scale projects and streamline permission management during execution. Eliminate the need for user-based permissions, improving overall data access security. Reduce role clutter at both the project and hub levels, maintaining readability and manageability. New users automatically inherit correct permissions based on their company-role relationship, minimizing manual setup. At the moment every user has to select the accurancy settings for the measurements every time again when open the coordination view. In infrastructure projects we work with Millimeter accurancy. When creating a Safety Violation or other Issue type from an iPad or mobile device, there is currently no ability to enter a Title.   Because of this, all Issues created in the field display the same default title (e.g., “SAFETY VIOLATION”) when reviewed on a desktop. This makes it difficult for project teams to quickly identify, prioritize, or search for specific Issues—especially on projects with a high volume of field-generated items.   Adding a Title field to the mobile / ipad would allow field staff to capture brief, meaningful descriptions at the time of creation, improving clarity, traceability, and efficiency for both field and office teams reviewing and managing Issues. It would be nice to sort different coordination spaces for the users in the table and for selection. At the moment the coordination spaces are sorted only by creation date. That is in big projects difficult to handle because they need up to 10 spaces with a minimum logic. (Area, Topic,...) Show More

At the moment it would be very helpful to show point clouds in the model coordination view together with models and other information's. That would save a lot of time to create models from existing condition. It would enable the project team to discuss fast in 3D in meetings to find solutions. I have a suggestion with regards to measuring, would be to have the square that is solid be transparent with crosshairs.  Other apps have  a crosshairs tool that is transparent so you could see where it lined up more accurately.  In the Build app, users report the tool being a little clunky as they are not sure where to start their measurement and have difficulty finding it under their finger. So, they did it again. As of september Business Units finally came available to use in ACC. Big huray moment. That didn't last. First it was visible for the our project creators, but they could not select/set it. Only the account admin was able to use it. So we opened a case for that. The solution? Remove visibility of the function for projectcreators..... So basically, the whole function is now unusable. You can't set business unit in a project template (which would be preferred, but at least would be a workaround if you don't want project creators to assign the business unit). So the account admin has to create ALL projects if you need to use businiss units? That's like having a CEO write out all paychecks personally for all employees..... The answer from Autodesk: it's by desing... (again). We are so disappointed with this. PLEASE, PLEASE make this workable, let it either be setup in the project templates (which would be the best option) or let it at least be assigned by project creators! Show More

Overview Today, Autodesk Build Forms only support the creation of interactive forms through manual field creation or by uploading a PDF. However, many construction workflows rely heavily on Excel-based templates that include formulas, conditional logic, predefined data structures, and standardized layouts. When attempting to convert these Excel files into PDF to use them in Autodesk Build, much of this logic is lost. Problem Our teams frequently work with Excel templates that are already validated internally and used across multiple projects. These files often contain formulas that automatically calculate values, ensure consistency, and reduce manual input errors. When converting these templates to PDF, the formulas and built-in logic are removed, resulting in a non-interactive and error-prone form within Autodesk Build. Requested Feature We would like Autodesk Build to support Excel (.xlsx) upload directly as a Form template, preserving: -Cell formulas -Conditional formatting -Dropdown lists / data validation -Locked/protected cells -Predefined calculation fields -Embedded metadata Build would then automatically convert the Excel structure into a fully interactive form, similar to the existing PDF auto-field detection, but without losing the business logic native to Excel. The current implementation of Submittals and RFIs in the ACC project environment allows users assigned the Submitter/RFI Manager role to view all Submittal and RFI submissions, regardless of the Contractor Company associated with the submission. This is causing an issue for the Developer (Client/Project Admin) who is managing submissions from multiple independent Contractors (Project Members) within this single project. The desired outcome requested by the developer (client) was for the Submitter/RFI Manager to only see and interact with submissions that belong to their designated Contractor Company within the project.  Show More

Within the Assets, the manipulation and filtering of columns only saves through web browser cache. This does little good for companies that may try to manage browser cache or attempt to clear user's web browser cache during troubleshooting other problems, only to find that it resets a user's saved views within not only ACC's Assets module but other modules within the platform. The ability to save defined views across the entirety of the platform should be a staple. This seems like something everyone would benefit from. It would also be nice to be able to pre-configure these in our project templates and have them pre-implemented into projects ready for a user at launch. Cost Management does a fantastic job of this. Description: This could be considered a feature for both Revit and ACC/BIM 360 so I decided to post in both forums. Since ACC/BIM 360 currently does not have an automatic audit function, we would like the ability to automatically run audits by setting a day of the week and time—similar to a publish schedule—for models that are collaborated in ACC/BIM 360. Current Situation: Because audits can only be run when opening a project file, modelers experience waiting time when they start work in the morning. In projects where multiple people are working simultaneously, one person must complete the audit and synchronize the model before others are able to open the file. Request: We would like audits to run automatically by setting a day of the week and time, similar to the publish schedule feature in ACC/BIM 360. Optional: Also, although this feature does not currently exist in Revit, it would be preferable for audits to generate warnings and reports when errors are detected during the audit process. Proposed Implementation: Allow audit schedules to be set for files within the Team folder, in the same way that publish schedules are configured in BIM 360. Currently, Autodesk Construction Cloud does not allow users to crop or snip content within the PDF viewer. If a user wants to highlight a specific portion of a drawing, they must use an external tool to capture the area and then upload it as a separate attachment—not as an overlay on the PDF. This creates several challenges: Workflow Disruption: Switching between ACC and external apps slows down reviews. Loss of Context: Uploaded images are detached from the PDF and do not appear in exports. Inefficient Communication: Teams cannot quickly isolate and share critical details without extra steps. Proposed Solution A built-in snip tool would allow users to drag-select any area of a sheet or document, crop it, and embed it directly into the markup layer. When Payment Application is rejected during the approval workflow, we suggested that the status of Payment Application will be changed to ‘Submitted’ rather than ‘Revise and Resubmit’.    If the user click 'Submitted' button, the claimed Work Completed would take the Work Completed amount which is inaccurate. The Claimed Work Completed should remain as the supplier’s first submission. The submitted status should remain the Claimed Work Completed original amount and allow the user to edit the Work Completed amount instead. Show More

"Pending Owner Changes" in ACC Cost includes two categories - Pre-Submitted and Submitted Owner Changes. Pre-Submitted Owner Changes includes Open Change Events, Open CORs while Submitted Owner Changes includes Submitted COR's, Accepted COR's, and  Submitted OCO's. The Revised Budget is the current Owner Contract + all of these pending Owner Change Order Types.   There is need to be able to report individually on the groups of Submitted/Accepted Changes: 1-Accepted COR's, 2-Submitted COR's, 3-Submitted OCO's.    Similarly - the category Pending Change Orders (cost column) includes all RFQ's and SCO's with cost status equal "Open", "Pricing", "Revise and Resubmit", "Proposed" or "Accepted". There is a need to be able to report on at a minimum 3 groups 1-Accepted, 2-Proposed+Revise and Resubmit and 3-Open+Pricing.    In both groups, the 3 different categories include very different levels of risk and confidence. Being able to report individually on them and choose how/if they are factored into the Revised Budget and Projected Commitment is necessary for detailed projections and reporting. Show More
