Every GC has a specific Submittal Stamp that we use to acknowledge general conformance review for all submittals going to the design and engineering members of a project.  Currently, every Project or Account Admin needs to create that standard stamp from new, for each new project.  It would be great to add this to the Project Admin Template Setup settings.  Thank you! Our team has encountered a serious issue within Autodesk Construction Cloud regarding submittal revision control. Once a new revision is created, there is no functionality to revert or step back to a previous revision. This limitation presents a major risk and operational failure for our project. In cases where an incorrect file or action is submitted, there is currently no way to correct or undo that revision. This is absolutely detrimental to our document control process and is causing confusion, delays, and potential noncompliance with our QA/QC standards. At minimum, we need one of the following options implemented or confirmed as feasible: • The ability to revert to a prior revision or • An administrative override to remove or replace an incorrect revision without corrupting the revision history. Hi all,   Today, I’d like to discuss my suggestions for improving the Submittals tool. This tool is very similar to the Reviews tool, with nearly identical core functionality, but the flexibility for project admins is much more limited compared to Reviews. Would it be possible to extend the Submittals functions with the same features as in Reviews? This shouldn’t be too difficult since the functionality already exists in the software. For example, adding the option to choose between calendar and working days, which is currently unavailable in the Submittals tool but available in Reviews. Another issue is that you can’t prepare Submittal templates in the project template, whereas the Reviews tool allows this. Speaking of templates, would it be possible to release API endpoints for both Reviews and Submittals, specifically GET and POST, to enable automatic posting of both tool templates to new projects?   I believe these suggestions would significantly enhance the usability of both tools.   Thanks and see you!  Show More

I would like to request a feature enhancement for the Submittal tool in Autodesk Construction Cloud. Currently, when a submittal package is deleted and a new one is created, the system automatically assigns the next sequential ID number and does not allow users to reuse the deleted ID. For example, if the previous package ID was 04, after deletion, the new package is automatically assigned 05, even if users wish to retain 04. It would be very helpful if the system allowed users to manually edit or reuse deleted submittal package IDs, especially for maintaining consistent document control and traceability in live project workflows. In ACC Build, reviewers cannot save in-progress markups to RFI or Submittal attachments without submitting the official response. This forces reviewers to either complete all markups in one session or discard them, creating inefficiencies in review workflows.    When reviewing/marking up attachments for an RFI or Submittal, the reviewer must add their markups to attachments only when they are ready to submit it - there is no way to save these review markups and then come back to it later - you are forced to either submit the response or discard the file(s) with markups. This limitation has resulted in the A/E team having to locally download the attachments so they can do their review/markups offline as the review process often requires investigation and takes days to finish, and they need to be able to add markups to the documents. The downloading of the attachments creates files scattered either in their local drive or duplicates in ACC Docs, which is not ideal. The other option is to leave the ACC browser window open when in the review markup process, which is also not sustainable. This creates inefficiencies, storage clutter, and breaks the intended single-source-of-truth workflow in ACC.   SUGGESTION: Enable reviewers to “Save Response Draft” for RFI and Submittal responses, allowing attachments with markups, added cover sheets, and annotations to be stored in-progress without publishing the official response. The reviewer should be able to reopen the draft, continue markups, and then submit when ready. Show More

When a SUBMITTAL is reviewed and submitted for review, there is the option to “Step back” the SUBMITTAL.  Once the SUBMITTAL is stepped back, the “Response/action”, “Attachments” and “Comment” information completed by the reviewer is erased.   It would be useful to, once the option to “Step back” is selected, be able to edit all information such as responses, attachments and comments made by the reviewer as opposed to erasing all review information.  This will also allow the reviewer to go back and make any changes to their review responses. I have encountered a limitation when exporting a Submittal Report. While some Submittals contain multiple Revisions, the exported report appears to capture only the latest Revision. As it is important to keep track of all Revisions within a Submittal, I would like to highlight that there currently seems to be no option to include the full revision history in the exported report. It would be highly beneficial if the export functionality could be enhanced to retain and display all Revisions for comprehensive tracking and record-keeping. Show More

In the Submittals tool within ACC Build, I’d like to request an enhancement to the Stamp functionality. Specifically, when using a Custom Stamp that includes smart fields (e.g., reviewer name, date), these fields should auto-populate, similar to how they do in Forms (I even used the smart field properties suggested for Forms). Since those fields stay blank upon inserting and do not auto-populate, we are forced to either: Manually enter repetitive information, such as our name and the date each time we stamp a submittal, or Create multiple pre-filled stamps to cover every scenario, which is not scalable. The only reason we opt to use the custom stamp is that we need to include standard legal language in every stamp. Having to retype or manually fill in the "Text" field in the default stamp with the same information across reviews is inefficient and increases the risk of errors or inconsistencies. Suggested Solutions: Allow smart fields in custom stamps to auto-fill using the current user and date, just like in Forms. Alternatively (or additionally), provide the ability to set default text or notes within the default stamp, which can be overridden if needed. This feature would save time, reduce repetitive tasks, and improve consistency, especially for firms that rely on legally required stamp language. We would like to propose extending the capabilities of the Search function within the Submittal section to align with the Files search behavior. Currently, the Submittal search requires exact word matches (e.g., “Submittal” must be spelled precisely to return results). In contrast, the Files search supports more flexible matching—it can locate results even when the search term has no spaces or differs slightly from the exact text, and it also searches within document contents. It would be advantageous to enable seamless integration between project specifications and their corresponding Autodesk Build submittal spec sections and Autodesk Takeoff classification systems. Furthermore, direct integration with widely used specification subscription services would ensure that accurate information is automatically linked to the specifications, submittal sections & classification types, reducing reliance on manual data entry or Excel imports and streamlining the management of specification updates. In the SUBMITTALS tab on ACC Build, all created submittals are displayed in the form of a list.  To edit the information in any of the submittals, the Project Member is required to click on the submittal to open it and then edit the information.   In our projects, we have several submittals being created daily.  It would be useful if the “Title” column in the submittal list could be edited by the Submittal Manager directly from the list, without needing to open each submittal.  This will allow the Submittal Manager to more easily and efficiently edit the “Title” of each submittal.   Please find the attached screenshot, “Submittals - Title Column”, which shows the “Title” column in the submittal list which should allow for direct editing by the Submittal Manager.
