The submittals module used to have "Ball in Court Company" as one of the columns.  This was removed and replaced by putting the company in parenthesis after the user.  This column of "user (company)" does not have the ability to be sorted in the submittals module.  Additionally the filter feature will not allow you to filter by 'contains' which does not allow you to filter by company.  One can sort/filter if the submittal log is exported but cannot sort when looking in the module which is the more common of the two.   Add the ability to sort the "ball in court" Add the ability to filter by 'contains'    Or add back the column of "ball in court company" Show More

When adding watchers to a submittal on the front page of the submittal one can type the persons name, press 'enter' and continue typing someone else's name.  Conversely when performing the same function for "reviewers" or "watchers through the "edit review workflow" or in the settings>review template one can type the name, press 'enter' but the letters entered for the previous name remain requiring the user to backspace to clear the previous typing before typing again.  "Edit review workflow" and "review templates" should have the same functionality as adding watchers via the location shown in the screen shot below.   , one can type the name of the person, press 'enter' and then continue typing the  Show More

We need the ability to include more than one spec section when building a submittal package.  Vendors often send bulk submittals in one pdf file.  For example, ball valves, gate valves, butterfly valves, check valves, etc. may all be in one package sent to the contractor, but each valve is a different spec section.  That package either has to be broken up into separate files by spec section or somehow communicated that the submission contains materials across multiple spec sections, and if you do that, it is not accurately reflected in the submittal log because the log will only indicate one spec section for the submittal.  Example submittal is attached for reference. In the permissions you can set someone to be the submittal manager but that can be way too much permissions.  Need the ability to assign permissions so that someone can just edit the workflows, if needed.  Sometimes a lead discipline will refer the review to someone else to look over.  This would be nice for a lead reviewer to edit according to who they want to assign to review the submittal. If a responsible contractor is listed on a submittal, they should be able to create a submittal.  When a submittal is approved as noted, it will be closed and distributed so that the submittal information is available to the project team.  The submittal does not need to stay open but if/when the responsible contractor is ready to submit a final for record submittal with comments incorporated, they should be able to open a new revision and submit.  Currently, only the submittal manager can create a new revision.   It would be benificial for the responsible contractor to initiate submittal revisions.  This would avoid the back and forth via email or other cloud file sharing to get submittal revision issued and uploaded to ACC. In the submittal review workflow if you have multiple submittal steps you are not able to remove the second reviewer from the workflow once the first reviewer has completed their review.   Example: Submittal was submitted with a two step review workflow - first reviewer (EOR), second reviewer(Owner).  Upon completion of review by the first reviewer, it was determined that the owner (second reviewer) did not need to review the submittal that was now in their court.  The workflow does not allow for deletion of the current step of the review workflow (this previously was an option) and push to next step or to close and distribute.   The workaround is to approve on behalf of the second reviewer but submittal managers should be able to remove a step in the workflow at any step in the process. Just like in Microsoft cloud shared documents and Bluebeam sessions to be able to do markups and edit at the same time and within the same document for a few people to review of submittals. Currently a submittal document has to be downloaded and put into Bluebeam Sessions for a group of people to review the submittal at the same time and then one control person to pull the document out of Bluebeam and back into ACC Submittals.  This is a daunting task.   Would be nice if we could keep it in ACC to do a collaboration review of a submittal. The polygon markup feature allows you to draw a shape with multiple control points, but if you need to adjust you cannot add control points.  It would be nice to able to add control points to submittal markup shapes. Show More

Add the ability to put a boarder around text boxes in the submittal markups   For the callout, setting the arrow to the desired location and then moving the text box but holding the arrow would be helpfull in getting the callout to the desired location.  currently you have to move the callout text box, then move the next control point on the leader, then move the arrow to the desired location. It would be nice to be able to add more than 6 review steps for an RFI or Submittal Review Template. We have come across a few situations, especially on mega projects with large teams involving designers, construction managers, document controls, and subs, where being able to add more than 6 review steps would be incredibly beneficial, to distinguish between each layer. It would be very beneficial to be able to name / rename a workflow step in Submittals or RFIs, during a review workflow. So, rather than it being "Review Step 01", etc., you could name it "Design Project Manager - Initial Review" or something like that, where you could name each step specifically with who and what each step in the workflow correlates with. This way you can distinguish in the platform who is responsible / what is occurring in the step more quickly when you go look at a Submittal / RFI, without having to have each workflow template memorized.  Show More

My team would like the ability to begin review of submittal items and be able to save all comments and markups and then return to it at a later time to finish the review prior to submitting. Some submittal items are upwards of 100 pages and it is a lot to sit down and do the full review and submit the response. Having the ability to save the in progress review and then returning would be greatly beneficial. Show More

If you use AutoSpec, it creates individual submittal items under for a spec section (product data, warranties, shop drawings, etc.). If the Responsible Contractor has multiple items in a single PDF file being sent in for review, they have do one of the following: -attach the same PDF to each item and submit them -the person creating the submittal entries has to combined from the start -they have to break each type out (not typically possible) in its own PDF file. It would be helpful to be able to bulk submit one PDF that covers multiple items, so the reviewers don't have to review the same file multiple times. I would think that packaging would be the ideal thing for this, but currently that only creates an association for them as a reference point in Submittals and doesn't bind them together for a single review. Maybe the current packaging feature should be changed to associate similar item/system with something Asset based, and then repurpose the packaging to allow bundling of submittal items together so one PDF/file can be reviewed for multiple items.
