Hello, I have a question about the Submittal Home. There is a list of submittals with several filter columns. I thought the “Review Response(s)” column shows the latest reviewer’s response. However, for the submittals I was involved in as a reviewer, I can only see MY EARLIST response even not my latest response. Still, I can't see others responses. When I hover over the “Review Response(s)” column, I can see all review responses, but I’d like to see the latest response and the most recent process of the submittal directly in the list view. Because I don't want to check my response i've already known and The important thing is that knowing others latest reponses. Show More

I believe we are running into a issue in regards to the not only us but also the trades being able to see various items on ACC Build.  I have gotten numerous inquires about not being able to see submittals specifically.   For example with submittals  if we put down the actually trade company as the responsible contractor it appears that there may be a issues in who can view it.  If we only put down a specific person in that company obviously only that person can see it.    This is an issue when filtering submittals on our end as well for example if I filter by a specific company,  I should be able to see all the submittals tagged to that company regardless of who it is sent to .  This does not happen however see the screen shots below   In project 7312 if I plug in JT Murphy as the responsible company 15 submittals come up, however if I click on all 9  individuals,  20 submittals come up.  Can you run this by ACC?    Show More

The German translations for "review" ("Überprüfung") and "transmittal" ("Übertragung") are very similar, and the user interface for both features also looks almost identical. As a result, users often accidentally create transmittals when they actually want to start a review. This leads to confusion and mistakes in workflow. Improving the differentiation between these features in the German UI—through clearer wording or distinct design—would greatly enhance usability. Show More

Hello,   we need an option to name steps in submittals, just like we can in Docs - Reviews. Usually, you have Build more developed then Docs because you charge additionally for Build license. This should not be too difficult for you. We need this because this is our workaround for your strange setup of submittals. Usually, we have 5 reviewers in open step, but when we step back all reviews, comments, attachments are gone. So, we need to create each reviewer as separate step. Creation of submittals is limited to the web version only. We are using submittals module for approving new materials, which is created/initiated by contractors. Many a times, contractors for minor activities do not have PCs/Laptops on site making it difficult to create submittals.   Option to create submittals should be added to the iOS/Android mobile application.      Show More

in the Submittals section under "Build", when one tries to create an item, and as they scroll down that box, filling in the required information, one hits a bump where that creator can't select a package or a review template unless they're a Submittal Manager (The two boxes don't appear). Any project member whether a general contractor, subcontractor, supplier or any other project member with access to "Build" should have the option to select a package and template. without the need to add them or their "Roles" (The creator) to a growing list of submittal Managers. add to the problem, if we decide to add 10 or 20 Creators with the role of a Submittal Manager to allow them to select a package or a workflow template. the next option in the Item creation box will be a long list of members, all of whom are Submittal Managers, and that creator needs to pick one! Adding every creator to the SM's list will undermine the regulatory nature of a Submittal Manager role, especially the one selected by the GC or the EOR to manage the submittals traffic! Keep in mind ACC learning videos suggest we have one or two submittal managers at most. I’d like to propose an enhancement to the Submittal Module within Autodesk Build that would significantly improve data security and workflow integrity across project teams.   Currently, when a member is added to a project via the Admin module, their access is governed by their assigned role. While this role-based model provides general control, it lacks the granularity needed to manage access to specific fields within modules such as RFIs and Submittals. This means that once a user has access to a module, they can view all associated fields and documents—regardless of their role in the workflow.   This limitation poses a challenge in scenarios where certain users, such as General Contractors, are permitted to upload submittals but should not have access to review documents until the review process is complete. For example, even if a workflow is designed for the Submittal Manager to direct reviews and close out items, the General Contractor can still access documents uploaded by reviewers before the review is finalized. While professional ethics suggest they should wait, the system currently allows premature access, which could compromise the integrity of the review process.   Introducing field-level access controls would allow Project Account Admins to: Restrict visibility of specific fields or documents based on user roles or workflow status. Ensure that users can only interact with the data relevant to their responsibilities. Prevent unauthorized or premature access to sensitive project information. This enhancement would not only support better data governance but also promote ethical collaboration and reduce the risk of miscommunication or misuse. Can't copy documents upon approval to another location in Submittals. If you wanted to have a centralised location for approved documents from Submittals, you'd have to manually copy (and when manually copying, markups can't be copied over) Show More

Would be nice to be able to delete submittal documents after they've been submitted, not just at the first step. Sometimes there will be an updated file that needs to go in place of the originally uploaded document, but there's no way to delete the original document, you can only download. Show More
