If ACC has the concept of running all HSE and QAQC related items through the Issues and RFI modules, we think that there should be separate icons on the LH ribbon for both HSE and QAQC respectively. This could essentially be a copy of the RFI module but renamed for HSE and QAQC so they have their own place. It is extremely confusing and unintuitive to explain to contractors, and our own internal people, that all HSE and QAQC items need to be tracked and submitted in an RFI or Issues as that goes against most of the basic construction principles of other ERP systems. An Issue is an issue, and an RFI is an RFI. An HSE item can require an investigation, or a change, that requires multiple people to collaborate, and the same can be said for a QAQC non-conformance item. Having them buried in the Issues and RFI modules for drop downs with "normal" items creates the possibility of them not being taken as seriously as they need to be, and buy-in is very hard to get when it looks like we are trying to make a module do something it is not really supposed to do... which is exactly what it appears we are doing. On-boarding is horrible when trying to explain this, with videos or documents, it just seems too odd and clunky from all our external partners.
