we noticed that the OOTB parameter of ACC for the date is in DATE format and does not include the option DATE + TIME. For integration applications between different software, it is necessary to have the time as well, since the same day mutlitple integration has been done and there is no possibility to track or check in case of failure the reason.   This limitation, currently overcome managing as a text string, instead of as DATE + TIME format, depending on the time zone, there is a lag, which creates confusion for the user.  To improve integration services, the Date with Time is requested as additional standard format Show More

We are trying to extract Reviews data and Files' & Packages' data into Power BI using the ACC Data Connector, but it does not provide the same level of detail as the reports generated directly from the Reviews tool or the Files tool. For reviews' data, we are specifically missing information such as the name of files, their associated dates, individual approval statuses, file path and the before-and-after values of the file attributes. Manually generating these reports each time for dashboard creation is not sustainable, and we require this data to be accessible through the Data Connector. Similarly, the connector does not extract data with the same granularity as the Files Export report. We need BASIC chart features, like Pie Charts, to visually display the number of open and closed issues within the ACC Insight Dashboard and PDF Issues Report. ACC Reports should include diagram, trends for issues based on priority, zone, or issue type. Such reporting enhancements are basic but essential. We are extensively using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) across multiple large-scale construction projects for complete document and workflow management. While ACC provides a strong foundation, we have observed critical gaps in document tracking and reporting capabilities that significantly impact efficiency, especially when managing multiple projects. Current Challenges: Lack of visibility for documents linked to Reviews: In Insight Builder or Reports, there is currently no option to view which documents are associated with a particular Review workflow. While the Review workflow name is visible, the associated document names, their metadata, and related details are not available. Inability to track all uploaded documents effectively: Many documents in ACC are uploaded “for information” and are not part of a Review workflow but are still part of the master deliverables list. There is no built-in report to see all documents uploaded to a folder, who uploaded them, and when — without manually downloading and analyzing file logs. For organizations managing 10+ active projects, this manual process becomes impractical. No direct provision for expiry or validity tracking: In construction, many documents (e.g., permits, certificates, warranties) have expiry dates. Currently, there is no native feature to track documents due to expire in the coming week or month. Limited use of custom attributes for reporting: While custom attributes can be created for documents, there is no simple, dynamic reporting option in Insight Builder to filter and track based on these attributes. Recommended Enhancements (Drawn from Industry Best Practices): Document-to-Review Mapping in Insights: Ability to display all documents linked to a review, along with document name, revision/version, upload date, uploader, and custom attributes. Universal Document Tracking Reports: One-click access to a full register of all documents in a project (including those outside workflows), with filtering by uploader, date, folder, or custom attributes. Expiry & Renewal Alerts: A dashboard widget or report that shows documents nearing expiry within a user-defined time range (e.g., next 7, 15, or 30 days). Custom Attribute-Based Insights: Ability to create dynamic dashboards using document-level custom attributes, including multi-project reports.   Reason for Importance: When documents and their metadata already exist in ACC but cannot be effectively tracked or reported, it undermines the purpose of a Document Management System. Construction projects rely heavily on timely access to accurate document status — missing this can delay reviews, cause compliance issues, or lead to duplication of effort. We request your consideration to prioritize these enhancements so that ACC can match (and exceed) the capabilities of other advanced document management platforms in the construction industry. To better  overall managment control of the  project, It would be beneficial to have a summary report or to include in the cover  of the existing export report from trasmittal tab or have as defualt dashboard inside Insight the following information about trasmittal: - total n. of trasmittal send by each Company  (sender) to each Company (not mentioning single adressee, but filtering by  Company); - total n. of file send by each Company (sender) to each Company (not mentioning single adressee, but filtering by  Company); - total n. of filed downloaded by each user organized by each Company, organized by Company Sender; - total n. of filed viewed by each user organized by each Company, organized by Company Sender;   This will allow to review in one summary dashboard or Report Cover the overall data officially trasnferred by each Company in a project.  Obsviously the details can be reviewed inside the current available reports by ACC Report Tab. Currently, Account Admins are unable to view issues created by other users when those issues are in an Unpublished state. We would like Account Admins to have visibility of all Unpublished issues to help identify and rectify discrepancies between issue counts shown in the Insights Dashboard and the actual data in the project. We use company as responsible party for reviews, tech subs, issues and forms. We would like a report with graphics what is open, closed, overdue per company. We want to use company as ball in court in RFIs also, but you do not have this yet. Do yo think you can develop this report? It could part of insight module where we could have a dashboard per company. Current Challenge: There are currently no datasets available in the Data Connector for “References” used across modules in Autodesk Construction Cloud. This limitation makes it difficult to extract and visualize interlinked data efficiently in dashboards or external BI tools. Industry Application: We require an extensive dataset that includes References across modules so dashboards can include clickable links between related items such as forms, RFIs, submittals, photos, and issues. Example Use Case: In Autodesk Build, dashboards can be created in the Forms module with clickable links to the created forms. However, there are no datasets in Insight Builder or Data Connector that include References attached to these forms. Many project elements — such as Forms, Photos, Issues, RFIs, and Submittals — are referenced in forms, but these relationships cannot currently be fetched in Insight Builder or Power BI dashboards due to the absence of an appropriate dataset. Proposed Solution: Introduce References Dataset within the Data Connector that includes: Source module and referenced module details Reference type (Form, RFI, Issue, etc.) Reference ID, name, and hyperlink Creation and update timestamps This will enhance reporting, enable better data traceability, and support automated Power BI dashboards with clickable interlinks between related construction data entities. In Insight Builder, we are currently able to report on tasks that are in the project schedule (imported from MS Project) but we cannot report on tasks that are created in a Plan.    As an example, it can be useful to see when a specific milestone is scheduled to complete across all the projects in the organization.  We can do this if the milestone is in a project schedule, but cannot do the same thing if the milestone is in a project plan.   As plan becomes a more robust tool, with new features added, we see ourselves using plan more.  It would be useful to be able to draw plan information into our reports the same way we can project schedule information. This I hope is an easy and I believe logical fix for Insight Builder.  When you click on a dashboard, it's URL is the same as the level above.  I.e  The issue with this is that when I send a dashboard URL link it always opens to this page NOT the Dashboard.  We have plans on placing monitors in our drawing office with a number of dashboards rotating through on the screen.  I can't do this when the URL keeps reporting back to this page.  It's also a pain as a number of our guys have created shortcuts to the dashboard which then requires "more clicks" to get to where they want to be. It would be really great if we have the possibility and functionality of sharing/publishing dashboards which are made in Insight Builder to ACC Insight (as a card). The reason is, this way we could have all the dashboard cards in one place for viewing (built-in insight cards, partner cards, and insight builder cards). Now, users need to check two places to get a full overview and it's not really ideal. I believe this feature was already on the roadmap since last year (see attachment) and AWS QuickSight already support sharing dashboard but the feature is not yet available. We have issues with multiple customised fields. In insight Builders it's not possible to cross filter visuals with these custom attributes.  In the dataset "Issue with custom attribut", every attribute value is a row and we don't have a way to pivot the table in insight Builder. I would like to raise an enhancement request regarding the integration of PDF forms data into Insight Builder for reporting and dashboard purposes. Use Case: On our projects, we have configured several Smart PDF forms in the ACC Forms module. These Smart PDFs are used because they provide advanced capabilities such as: Automatic calculations (e.g., quantity checks, hold amounts, progress measurements). Embedded validations and conditional logic. Custom layouts as per project-specific requirements. Currently, all these forms are being filled in ACC, but since they are PDF-based, their data is not accessible in Insight Builder for analytics. This restricts our ability to track performance, compliance, and actionable insights from these forms. Current Limitation: Insight Builder can only consume data from native ACC forms. PDF forms, though part of the workflow, are treated as attachments only and their field values are not captured in a structured way for reporting. Importance / Business Impact: Many critical forms in our project (checklists, inspection sheets, material test reports, lab tests reports etc.) are implemented as Smart PDFs due to the limitations of the native forms module. Without integration into Insight Builder, we cannot create dashboards, KPIs, or analytical reports based on these forms. This leads to manual extraction and duplication of effort, reducing efficiency and affecting adoption. If PDF form data can be parsed and made available in Insight Builder, it would ensure complete project visibility, improve compliance tracking, and enable data-driven decision making. Request: Please consider enabling support for PDF forms data in Insight Builder so that all form submissions—whether native ACC forms or configured Smart PDFs—can be leveraged for reporting and analysis. This feature would greatly enhance the usability of the Forms module and ensure projects using Smart PDFs do not lose the benefits of centralized analytics. Show More

Introduce Meeting reports in Insight for not only the meetings themselves, but Meeting Item reports that allow filtering for Item statuses and individual or company assignment. A bonus would be to have a 'Assigned Meeting Items' report similar to the '(Issue) Items Assigned to Company' report. Show More
