Current Challenge: There are currently no datasets available in the Data Connector for “References” used across modules in Autodesk Construction Cloud. This limitation makes it difficult to extract and visualize interlinked data efficiently in dashboards or external BI tools. Industry Application: We require an extensive dataset that includes References across modules so dashboards can include clickable links between related items such as forms, RFIs, submittals, photos, and issues. Example Use Case: In Autodesk Build, dashboards can be created in the Forms module with clickable links to the created forms. However, there are no datasets in Insight Builder or Data Connector that include References attached to these forms. Many project elements — such as Forms, Photos, Issues, RFIs, and Submittals — are referenced in forms, but these relationships cannot currently be fetched in Insight Builder or Power BI dashboards due to the absence of an appropriate dataset. Proposed Solution: Introduce References Dataset within the Data Connector that includes: Source module and referenced module details Reference type (Form, RFI, Issue, etc.) Reference ID, name, and hyperlink Creation and update timestamps This will enhance reporting, enable better data traceability, and support automated Power BI dashboards with clickable interlinks between related construction data entities. Please give users the ability to export all of their data through the Data Connector, not only the last 12 months' worth. Projects often last years and not being able to export the entire history is detrimental. Secondly, please improve on the export options, the current maximum of one month's worth of data at a time is too limiting, a suggestion would be to allow up to a year at a time, and if file size is an issue, have the data connector share the approximate size of the exported file as a preview to let users (and clients) decide on their maximum file size preferences. The current last_sign_in date only shows the date for BIM 360, not Build. Please add a last_sign_in_build date for Build or change the process so the existing date reflects the users last sign in date on BIM 360 or Build. Also, add a last_sign_in on the admin_project_users extract table for the last time that user accessed each project. Show More

We are trying to extract Reviews data and Files' & Packages' data into Power BI using the ACC Data Connector, but it does not provide the same level of detail as the reports generated directly from the Reviews tool or the Files tool. For reviews' data, we are specifically missing information such as the name of files, their associated dates, individual approval statuses, file path and the before-and-after values of the file attributes. Manually generating these reports each time for dashboard creation is not sustainable, and we require this data to be accessible through the Data Connector. Similarly, the connector does not extract data with the same granularity as the Files Export report. We request that these capabilities be added to the Data Connector as soon as possible to support our reporting needs. Show More

Please consider including the schedule suggestions in the Data Connector.  We have other scheduling integration partners that would like to ingest the suggestion data, approve or reject the suggestion in the master schedule, receive an updated master schedule & push that schedule back into ACC through the data management API (into the Schedule folder).  This will allow a truly fluid workflow from suggestions from your field team to the master schedulers, and back to the field.  This workflow could impact several customers, such as Carey's (CSN 5100645056), Granite Construction (CSN 5100700337), Skanska (CSN 5101626919), & PennDOT (CSN 5156573693).  Show More

Currently, within the ACC Profile, the Job Title data element is not actively used in ACC.     According to Autodesk, it may be used in future product initiatives and by internal organizations. Also, there have been discussions with the User Profile team on their data syncing, but it's still in the discussion phase and they have no estimate as to when that might change.   While the use of Roles is very effective at managing, controlling, and executing Reviews within ACC, they tend to be associated with a specific task or activity performed by a member, who likely has a much different Job Title within their organization. Our implementation of ACC includes custom reports and metrics developed for our customer. For these deliverables, the members assigned Job Title within their organization would be much more appropriate and meaningful for the consumer of the data, who in many cases is management and executives. Since the Job Title is not available to us, we are using the members Default Role. Depending on the intended use - and who the end user of the deliverable is - the members Job Title may be a requirement, and we will be unable to provide a solution for our customer. Show More

Ability to export the model coordination module's clash matrix results (number of clashes per test) to a database, eg. .csv    We need the clash results in this format to visualise the data as progress over time, among other visualisations.   With the ability to export the results in database format a scheduler feature would be required to set this export to a regular schedule.   ACC Data Connector - the solution could be delivered through the improvement of the ACC Data Connector, which today can schedule .csv exports of clash data, however the data exported is not readable/usable... Maybe this is burried someplace already, but I have been unable to find it. I wish there were a way for us to develop custom Project Settings within ACC. Right now, the settings barely cover basic project data (Location, Project Type, Value, Name, Job Number, etc). However, when dealing with firmwide data, metrics, and dashboarding, it would be helpful to add our own fields to this list so we can slice our PowerBI dashboards a little easier.   Some fields we would like to add for our firm would be: Client - So that we can see which clients are generating more Studio - This 'Business Unit' value in BIM360 served this purpose for us, but that was removed in ACC, so now we cannot quickly see which teams are have smooth/poor CA performances Gross Square Footage - This would be a very valuable slicer, I can track performance from our large, medium, and small projects seperately (e.g. a 4,000 sqft office project is radically different than a 400,000 sqft office project). We can also add calcuated columns and divide value by GSF to slice projects by cost per square foot. Lots we could do Thats just three for our firm, Im sure other firms would want other parameters. It would be nice if the ACC Out of the box parameter were kept light (I wouldn't want to see the OOB parameters to be a sea of junk) and firms were allowed to customize parameters for more effective, more tailored dashboarding.  Show More

It would be nice to be able to pull data from the data connector more often than once a day, preferably hourly. I am currently pulling the extracted data daily to a PowerBI dashboard, but the data changes multiple times throughout the day. Using the widgets on ACC would allow me to synchronously display our data, but the widgets are missing customizations, visualizations, and filtering options that our supervisors find useful. The idea is to control the user not to accessing the ACC Account outside of the office premises. Or the User ID should lock to any particular system, which is specified by the IT person.   Reason for asking this solution.  Recently, management has been facing a challenge. Some of the team members who are part of the project have full access to all the folders in ACC Docs. Right now you can create a dataexchange från a model (.rvt) in Docs from the 3D-view published from Revit. When having a larger project with a lot of diffrent models it would be useful to be able to make a Dataexchange from an established View in Model Coordination. Or have a "Saved view to Docs" that is dynamic and keeps up with the updates so the dataexchange also updates. Maybe this could be solved with a function to Schedule a view in model coordination being saved to Docs. This would allow a coordinated model to be used in for example Power BI back to ACC Dashboards with a viewer connected to assets.  Show More

The current options for extracting Activity data are "Past day" and "Custom". Custom allows use to extract a specific date range of up to 31 days to extract the Activity data. This date range does not adjust on a daily basis. Please add additional options to extract Activity data from scheduled Data Connector extractions. Show More

I’ve noticed that General Contractors often use BuildingConnected Pro to send out bid requests. However, as subcontractors, we’d like to make it easier for GCs to find and invite us to bid.   My suggestion is to allow us to create a direct link to our company profile in Autodesk apps like BuildingConnected and PlanGrid. We could place this link on our website’s contact page, so if a GC is interested in working with us, they can quickly access our profile and send an invite—without having to search for us in the app.   This would streamline the connection process and make it easier for GCs to reach out. "Contact Us" website pages are so dated, and this would be a better way. Just a thought. Show More

We would like to have the ability to get the qualification history for each subcontractor using your API. Right now we are solely basing each sub's 'qualification window' with an assumed 2 year expiration date. If we could somehow get a history list so we can track our AP payments over time, that would be perfect.    Also, we were hoping that you could expand the current api endpoint to include the risk status/score as well.    Thanks!
