Cost items in the Changer order workflow have their own number systems, which makes sense if the cost items are created first then linked to a PCO. The problem with that is if the log gets heavy, it can be difficult to track specific cost items to their associated Changer order. Can there be a way to give the Cost items a prefix (or suffix) that coincides with the Changer or number (or name) to make it easier to view, sort or filter list?

When external collaborators submit a Change Order (CO) in Autodesk Build, they are required to select a recipient from a dropdown list. On large projects, this list can include dozens—sometimes even hundreds—of team members. Currently, the list only displays name and email address, which makes it difficult for external users to determine the correct recipient for their CO submission. Request: Add a third data point to the recipient dropdown list showing each user’s role(s) in the project.

Please provide the option to enable certain Cost Management custom attributes to be accessible for external users (users with Collaborate permissions). Use case: allow for someone submitting a cost pay application to enter the joint check payee information directly against the cost pay application.

We would like the ability to see budget details in the Revised Cost Screen of the forecast tool. There are situations where it is helpful to see what your budget is while you are working through cost projections (Making sure you are projecting costs on the correct line, making sure that your projections are in line with what the original plan ect.). Right now to see the budget we either need two windows or we have to navigate between a few different screens to make this work. Below is an idea that we had.

We have Budget Codes that are non-billable, that we do not want to pull into the main contract. It would be beneficial to have a Non-Billable "Scope" to select that would allow us to incur cost to the budget code, but not show in the Main Contract. We also need a Scope for Budget Codes that have Budgets, but will not have any Subcontracts, SCO's or RFQ's (removes the Cost Status) but it is a Budget that only incurs expenses against it. So, "Budget + Expenses". Example, all of our Equipment budget codes we never write subcontracts, SCO's or RFQ's. When we create a PCO that includes Equipment cost we have to manually change the cost items that have Equipment to "Budget Only" since we will never be issuing a SCO to the budget code. This closes out the PCO. I need for a way to set a default scope to one that will not allow SCO's (Cost Status) but will allow expenses to hit the Budget Code.

As a company, we only want to use the Internal (INT) change order types for "In-Scope" PCO's, that bypass the OCO process. If we would be able to select a default Scope for a Change Order type in the settings and templates, this would elevate our PM's from using Internal (Int) PCO's for other Scope types.

When viewing Cost Management from Chrome at 100%, the "Send" button is cutoff at the bottom of the popout (e.g. trying to send an OCO or SCO.) To get to the "Send" button, you have to reduce the zoom scale on the browser to 90% or less. These popouts should be rescaled, such that the entire popout can be viewed at 100%, and the "Send" button is accessible.

The ability to change the name “Budget” in Cost Management. Budget is used throughout the Cost Management tool for different use cases, and it is why it cannot be currently renamed. (Note: This request comes from our customer in the EBA program)

Be able to change the description that is shown in the black box when hovering over the name of an item. The reason is because a PCR for the customer does not have the same meaning as the default description provided in Cost Management. (Note: This is a customer in our EBA program)

When the 'Below Schedule of Values' option is selected on a Payment Application, there is no visibility into the Budget Code associated with each change order line item. The budget allocation is not displayed on the generated document (there is no variable), nor is it accessible on the Budget Payment Application overview screen. This limits the ability to track or reconcile change orders against their corresponding budgets without full access to the system. Could there be a setting in Change Order Cost Items to have an automated prefix that displays the related cost code?

We would like to limit visibility in the different amount fields by permission in Cost Management for Change Orders. We would like to limit an owner from seeing a committed amount , and subcontractor from seeing a approved amount ect. Current permission settings allow too much visibility into the Change Order Process.

Currently - If you have a deductive Change Order the entire Subcontract Pay Application is flagged as overbilled because the over billing checking happens on every SOV payment item level. It is by designed behavior. There are two options that can be taken here to get rid of the overbilling message. Revert the payment application status and decrease the this period work completed amount. Enable the setting "allow over billing". We would like the overbilling flag to be applied to the totals of the SCO, not each line item.

In short there are views we have that we consider an internal Project view, but I don't want the owner to see. I want to still be able to wipe columns off of it or filter it down some more. I want people in my company to have a default view that is different from the default view the owner can see. Currently this is not possible. We need to control what the owner see's and eliminate unnecessary questions. Example: In the PCO screen the Scope means nothing to the owner and raises questions because they can see it, and we cannot hide the but it means a lot to us. If I can control the views that the owner can see it will allow us to enhance their experience and not cause us pain.

With Mark-ups on Change orders- we usually keep the overall amount rounded to the nearest dollar by changing the amount of our fee. We still do need to see amounts less than a dollar in the system, but limiting amounts less than a dollar in our change orders makes budget management much easier. The preferred method for us would be to have a mark-up amount variable so that we can modify it to the nearest dollar.

We need the ability to set the signers prior to sending the commitments and change orders through the approval workflow. The last folks who are approving our commitments don't know who the signers are. This is causing additional steps and confusion.

We have very large change orders sometimes with several (sometimes 100+) budget codes. We need an easy way to export all budget codes at once to build the SOV import (like how commitments SOVs Excel import work in Cost) instead of having to export each budget codes one at a time.

When exporting our schedule of values from Cost and Change Orders to build the commitment in Excel, we would like the ability to include custom attributes in the export. For our case it would be an address field so the supplier would know where to ship the material.

Sometimes you have to create a PCO with a large number of lines especially on large PCOs or where you need to be very detailed. The other import functions in Autodesk are very useful. It would be nice to have a similar function for PCOs. This would allow a user to create all the PCO items in an excel template, ensure all budget codes are correctly allocated and double check all the values and ensure that all the items are in the desired order. You can't easily re-order PCO items in a PCO.

Currently, the various status options for PCO and SCO are set and can't be changed. It would be helpful to have the option to set which status a PCO or SCO automatically starts at. For instance, a PCO defaults to "Draft" however a PCO in draft status does not report any of its values on the budget columns. The PCO status has to be set to "Open" for it to be reflected on the budget columns. Similarly, a SCO that is in "Draft" or "Open" status doesn't appear in the budget columns either. A SCO has to have a status of "Sent". These default statuses create the possibility of not reporting correctly the overall health of the project on the budget screen. All it takes is the user to forget to change the status. The project teams should have the option to select what status they want change orders items to start at. This could just be another setting under Cost Management....Settings...Change Order and applied to project template if the company as whole wanted to adopt a standard.
