Internal Approval workflows need an expansion to have the ability to include people who are directly involved in the item being approved but should not have Project Admin privileges. I have an 8 step upstream internal approval workflow - all approvals need to come from members of the same company, and who are in different departments. These people should not have Admin privileges, do not need the ability to see items that are not directly assigned to them, and will not be in the Cost system for anything other than reviewing and approving these items assigned to them. Currently, without a Project Admin or Full Control level of permission, they are unable to respond to the workflow or see the item in question. This doesn't make much sense, as, if they are a member of a workflow process, and they receive an email notifying them they are supposed to review something, they do not have access to it without being over-permissioned within the system. The form of this ability to review only the items assigned to you could take many forms: A Reviewer permission set that functions similar to the Collaborate permission level, that allows someone to Review/Collaborate on any items assigned to them Something more like the Build side of things where RFI or Issue workflow/roles are configured for specific people. I have met with multiple instances of this across many project types and client profiles.
