I would like to have the ability to create a template in bid leveling for each bid package under other costs to aid in the bid leveling for a project as this is the only place that a subcontractor can't view, but currently you have to add in those items on each bid package on each project. Since we do not have any inclusions on our bid form, we simply can't level bids in building connected. Show More

Your Autodesk Construction Cloud Case Number is : 02179781   Please review the contents of my support case and the response, and try to make this a new feature so that we can eliminate confusion amongst our bidders on who to contact for what bid package. When using the mass publish feature, bid invite emails should be received separately from each bid package (lead) the bidder is invited to.    Pasted below:   We ran a few bid invite tests today to troubleshoot why subcontractors sometimes contact the wrong team member regarding their bid packages. We found that when a bid package lead is set, BuildingConnected does direct subcontractors to the correct team member for questions, concerns, or bid submissions. However, we noticed an issue when using the mass-publish bid invite feature: In today’s test, I was added as a bidder on two packages (Demolition and Drywall). Alejandro, our Chief Estimator, is set as the bid package lead on other packages, but not these two. When Narahari sent out the mass bid invite, the email I received came from Alejandro for both packages — even though he is not the lead on Demolition or Drywall. This creates confusion because many trades receive invites for multiple packages, and we want the point of contact to match the lead for each specific package. Our question: Is there a way to configure BuildingConnected so that: Subcontractors receive individual bid package invites, and Each invite shows the correct bid package lead as the contact, rather than defaulting to one person (in this case Alejandro) for all packages in a mass invite? Is it possible to add Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Concrete XRay to the list of industries? Most projects that require concrete demolition require scanning of the concrete with GPR to locate embedded items. This helps prevent damage to utilities or other embedded objects. Elevated concrete slabs contain reinforcement like post-tension cables, which are critical parts of the building's structural system. Cutting these can injure workers and cause significant damage. Our company offers these services but currently has no opportunities listed for us to bid on. Instead, we search for opportunities like "Concrete Saw-Cutting" or "Electrical" to submit bids. This causes confusion for the estimators because we are bidding in specific categories but not for the scope requested.  Show More

Using Building Connected, if one wants to create a "Bidders" Report with the client, we have to utilize on of the existing options and spend considerable time hiding all the invitees for each company for each bid package.  You see, if one adds more than one contact at a company then all contacts show up.  The work around is to print the "Formatted Bidders List", using Bluebeam to convert the report to a excel file, then remove all invitees for each company. This is in an attempt to only show the Company that one wants to solicit for each bid package rather than each company plus all invitees. This is a non-value add that a client does not care about. Why would a client care whom at the company, that we are reaching out to? Clients are only concerned with what company(s) are invited to each bid package, not all invitees per each company. If this could become a standard report, significant hours can be saved from having to make considerable modifications to each company for each bid package in excel.  The fact that no-one has requested this is crazy! Good afternoon,    I am required to keep track of bid interest on each of my packages throughout the week. I find it sometimes difficult to keep track of whether I have had consistent communication with the trade partners in each bid pack. My recommendation is to add a shortcut on the bidders tab to messages for that company.    We use BC to send and receive messages from each trade partner, but often are asked to track and make notes of the individuals as we call them. If we could have on the righthand side with the notes and history, a messages section that showed any conversations with that trade partner listing subject line and maybe a few lines from the message, that would help us in knowing how much communications we are having with our trade partners.    We could also have it shortcut to the message forum, to where we could see the whole chain of messages with that trade partner. This would also let us filter messages per trade and package, so we could easily see any post bid responses with our partners.      Show More

Problem: The current Advanced Search requires a typed keyword before showing results. This creates friction when users do not know the names of subcontractors to search for. Additionally, filtering by company type is limited, which results in mixed results that include owners, suppliers or other company types instead of only subcontractors. These limitations make it difficult to identify and expand subcontractor relationships for upcoming bids.   Proposed Solution: Enable browsing subcontractors by filters alone, without requiring a keyword. Key improvements would include: Allowing company type filters (subcontractor, supplier, GC, etc.) Supporting location, trade, and other filters without a text input Displaying a clean list view of subcontractors that match the filters without typed keywords This would streamline outreach, support relationship-building, and improve efficiency when preparing for bids. Provide a way to copy rules from one office to another. I have about 11 offices I need to copy rules to, but I have to build the rule 11 times.    I have to do this 11 x 11 because each office has a specific rule...then the opposite of that rule needs to be copied to the rest.  Show More

Create a feature that would allow a list of 100's or 1000's of items in a specified format to be uploaded into Building connected in the bid form.   Right now they need to be manually entered, which is fine if you are not dealing with a large volume of items, but is less than ideal when you have many items to bid out.    It is currently faster to bid the items in a spreadsheet with email and excel than it is to enter them manually into Building Connected.  Show More

We have some customers that send opportunities to us and invite 40+ people from our company. The only way I have found to remove team members is to one-by-one click their name and click remove. I am a concrete countertop and sink producer and that's all I do. Right now there is no way to specify that. Right now I constantly get bid invitations for concrete(flatwork) or countertops(granite,solid surface) neither of which I do. It would be transformational for this platform having the ability to view or export a comprehensive list of bid items from multiple bid packages that could potentially refer to the same item being quoted but for different projects.    Example: Requesting a $/ft quote for each of the following items: 855,350 ft of MV-105 Cable, 133% insul, #1000Kcmil Al, CN 1,785,450 ft of MV-105 Cable, 133% insul, #750Kcmil Al, CN 525,875 ft of MV-105 Cable, 133% insul, #500Kcmil Al, CN The majority of our projects across the US will include these items in their bid forms but perhaps for different cable lengths (purchasing power contingent upon total PO values), different site locations across the US, and different delivery/construction schedules.   My request today would be for Autodesk to develop the ability within Building Connected for viewing those bid items that are specific to each bid form, within each bid package, within each project, as a running list view of -filtered- bid items, similar to "Bid History" that pulls every bid package into a full-blown list of all bid packages received to date within the platform.   I spoke to Ebony W. Hi Team,   I have have many GCs and subcontractors in the southwest reach out asking to get drywells as a scope of work in BuildingConnected. This is a very specific and common trade in the southwest. It makes it very difficult for GCs to find the right subs and for subs to find the right projects. It would be ideal to have the ability to type a total dollar amount for a line item and the $/unit would automatically populate. Since the $/unit is truncated at the penny, it can be hard to reconcile large quantities with a large total value and get a total bid to match the subcontractor's breakout. Show More

When there is an account that has joined the company office, a notification should be added where it shows the office leads that the account is "unverified access" or something along those lines.
