Right now the only way to view a subcontractor bid is to download it and open it offline. This seems like a strange thing to be missing from an online bidding platform. Can you have bids open in a separate PDF reader window please? That way we can look at the bids without having to download and save all of them, which was supposed to be one of the benefits of Building Connected.

In BuildingConnected Bid Leveling it would be great if the Quantities had Subtotals for each section and totals for the entire Package for like Quantity X Unit Cost types. The Example I am thinking of is Hours X Cost/Hour where knowing the subtotal and total hours would be very helpful for bid analysis.

Add a notes section in the estimated cost panel just like you can under each separate bidders section. It would also be helpful to add attachments in this section also.

In BuildingConnected's "Bid Leveling" you can toggle most times on or off to include them in the leveled price or not. But, you cannot toggle items in the "Other Costs" section. Ideally you could toggle "Other Costs" items also.

We can only export a bidders list that's organized by division and then alphabetized by company name. It would be nice if we could export a bidders list that is formatted strictly by company name having a separate column that lists the division name/number.

Hello, In my industry, bid forms can be quite large and include multiple unit rates and different quantities. As it is, the module of bid form in buildingconnected does not allow to replicate a long excel bid form table(copy from excel to buildingconnected) unless we add line items, quantities and units one by one. Can you please create a functionality to replicate long excel bid forms into the BuildingConnected bid form section? Thanks in advance.

Hello, The new authenticator process needs to be changed in terms of bidding. If you have any experience with HARD bids, they have a very specific deadline. Typical rule of thumb is 2:00pm which means if I submit by 2:01 my bid is deemed nonresponsive and thrown in the trash. In my experience, I can expect to receive a straggler by 1:55pm. My heartburn with the new process has to do with timing. I now need to enter my login, wait for an email, enter a code, then scan a QR code. On bid day this is not simple or fast. I cannot risk missing those last quotes. Is there a way to bypass this process for Building Connected? I can ask for bids by 12:00pm, however, if a subcontractor sees the spec that states 2:00pm, they wait. Utilizing your forum for bid leveling and printing bids has been extremely user friendly. Now it's getting too complex. Can we figure out a way to mitigate this issue?

It would be ideal to have the ability to type a total dollar amount for a line item and the $/unit would automatically populate. Since the $/unit is truncated at the penny, it can be hard to reconcile large quantities with a large total value and get a total bid to match the subcontractor's breakout.

We would like to see/need for Sealed Bids to have a report that tracks: Bid Submission Time Stamp Submitted Document Upload Time Stamp Unsealed Bid Date and Time Unsealed Bid Opened By Add a submitted bid confirmation acknowledgement window for the subcontractor that is tracked in a report This helps when clients/project owner wants details on the above, none of which are available at the moment. Adding the toggle option that is currently only available in the alternates section, to line item and other cost categories would be a game changer for leveling bids on Building connected.

It would be great to have the ability to total up all items under a section header, then providing a grand total of all section subtotals. For example, Section A has 5 line items that would total together, Section B has 10 line items that would total together, and as many other Sections necessary. Then having a Grand Total of all Sections (A, B, and so on).
