Forms - Table or a matrix

In Forms it would be really useful to have a table or a matrix in the template builder. When you are setting up in the template builder you could decide the columns and then add rows when filling out, this is similar how the daily report log works. Maybe also you could choose another option which would be to have fixed columns and rows which you then fill in selected fields.

This request came up originally in regards to commissioning, when we were setting up templates for test reports.

Thanks for the suggestion. The ability to add a table with custom columns is on our short-term roadmap - and we're collecting additional requests for options, like the ability to set a fixed set of rows.

Worklog section is good but enough. The columns are not customizable and if you have a one worklog section in a form template you cannot have a second one. Would love to see a feature release where new sections can have tables and matrix with customizable columns.

There are so many different sorts of commissioning results, @emilio.mercado I hope this new tool is up for the tas

 

@Dyrmundur_Helgi I dislike this functionality as it looks like going backwards in tech but it often works for complicated commissioning result pages. When you create a new Template, go via "Upload an existing PDF form". Give it a try

@buildintel Unfortunately uploading an existing PDF form is not the same as the template builder in ACC. For example use of data in dashboards such insight builder is almost impossible if the form is not made with template builder.

@BehnamVafaei oh yeah, agreed. Pdf builder is a suprise that it still exists. It has no way to regulate internal data. His only alternative at the moment is for people to use real paper on site to collect the results and then upload a pdf on the Form. This is even worse option I find. 

If the new product Emilio mentioned comes in quickly and is up for the task, all is solved

@buildintel we have been using the Smart PDF and it works well in practice but to create and change the PDF form template takes ages. Not practical and people tend to go back to old ways, using Excel or Word. Then yes gathering and analysing the data is harder with the Smart PDF as @BehnamVafaei mentioned.
