Feature Suggestion – Project Directory Tool, Separate from Members

Hello Autodesk R&D Team,

 

I’d like to suggest adding a Project Directory tool to Build. Currently, the platform allows us to add “Members,” which is great for permissions, but it doesn’t fully address the practical need for a centralized project contact directory.

In day-to-day construction management, we need a simple and quick way to view critical contact information. A Directory feature would allow users to:

  • Pull in “Members” that are already added to the project and pre-populate. 

    • Also, allow to just add a "contact person" - someone not added a member. 
  • Then have editable fields such as phone numbers, job titles, company names, and notes.

  • Export or share the directory in a standardized format for use in the field or with external partners.

  • Search, filter, and group contacts by role (e.g., Project Manager, Superintendent, Subcontractor, Accounts Payable, etc.).

This functionality would greatly improve project coordination and reduce the need for external spreadsheets or third-party tools just to manage team contact info. It would also strengthen Autodesk Construction Cloud as a one-stop hub for project communication and collaboration. @acc.admin
